A comfortable and spacious one bedroom flat 150m from Markinch Train Station. Station View Lodge has all the comfort and amenities of home and is only a short train ride to both St Andrews and Edinburgh as well as being on the doorstep of Scotland’s Pilgrim way and historic landmarks around Fife’s ancient capital. Internationally acclaimed Balbirnie Country Park and Manor House are only a five minute walk away and host walk ways, forests and a public golf course.
Station View Lodge has a master bedroom, bathroom with bath and shower, separate living room (with sumptuous pull out double bed) and separate, fully contained kitchen. All of which are for sole use of our guests.
This is a four guest occupancy. No other overnight stays are permitted.

Guest access is via lock box at the front door of the property. Access is via one single 20cm step and hallways and spaces are wide enough for wheelchair access.
Access via the back of the building is not advised at night at present as there are multiple steps to consider and lighting is not adequate. It can be quite dark of an evening in Scotland.
Guests will have full access to ourselves via the Airbnb app/account.
Station View Lodge is a remote hosting venue so check in and check out will be discussed and agreed upon over message, text and telephone.
Any contact our guests require, we are happy to accommodate.
We have staff and family in the local area and can accommodate emergencies within minutes should it be required.
Station View Lodge is ideally situated for most requirements.
Close to the property there are;
Two grocery shops
Co-op is 300m away along the high street from the train station and Greens is 800m away along the same stretch high street)
Two pubs/bars
(turn right out of the door and both Banners and Jamie’s bar are at the top of the street 100m away).
A Chinese restaurant
(Grace Chinese take away is on the high street next to Greens. Turn right out of the door, left at the end of the street and walk straight along the high street for 800m)
A bar and restaurant
(Laurel Bank is 800m away and serves food and drink all day. Turn left out of the door, turn right at the end and walk 600m Along the street to the crossroad. Laurel is on the corner).

Balbirnie park, country house and golf course are a five minute walk to the entrance. Follow Laurel Bank directions but turn left at the crossroads. Continue along for 300m and the park is on the right. The house has amazing tea rooms, bar and restaurant.
Fife has a vast wealth of visitor attractions which must be seen!
We ask that guests consider that Landel is a very quiet street and we value our good relationship with our neighbours.
Parking restrictions are currently very relaxed so parking at any point in the street is not a problem.
