"We enjoyed our stay at the Kookaburra Cottage immensely. The biggest drawcard was probably the location, short walk to the town centre yet quiet and we still got to enjoy the wildlife experience with Kookaburras, kangaroos, and an echidna around the corner! The indoor fireplace and outdoor fire pit was enjoyed by the family. The heating in the cottage was very adequate which made for a cosy and comfortable stay. Communication response from the host was prompt and helpful. It was our little home...

"We love the unit which backs onto the reserve at the back. The view is lovely of kangaroos and emus from the back windows. The nice big dining table is good for playing games on. The only problem is the parking as we had to reverse in our cars because our unit is the back unit and the back car port is shared. If the front unit has its own car port in front then the parking problem would be solved."

"Great location immersed in nature yet close to Halls Gap center. The house is a bit dated (especially the appliances), but comfortable size for two to three couples except for the single bathroom/toilet available. Nice outdoors sitting options (weather permitting), pleasant common area and setup. All in all a good weekend or short holiday escape"
