The pier cafe is great for a drink, coffee or food though, and the drive is worth it for the surrounding views of Loch Katrine. The pool table was a great addition and kept both big kids and little kids entertained. We had snow while we were there and having the log burner and extra radiators to hand was great for keeping warm. Communication with host was great."

"Thornhill Lodge was perfect for our family of 7 as a home base for exploration of the area. The house was spacious and comfortable and Ross was attentive to any problems/questions we had. Everyone having their own en suite bathroom was a great plus. The Lion and Unicorn right down the street and the small store directly across the street were a pleasant addition to our visit. "

"The lodge is in a beautiful area, secluded with just deer for neighbours. Claire and Aleck were great hosts, very friendly. The lodge was stunning. Each room was well decorated and cosy. Very comfortable beds and lovely bathrooms. The log burning fires in the each lounge were just perfect at night. The outdoor bbq and pizza oven were a great addition along with the hot tub. We all loved staying here for a long weekend. I would happily stay at Muir Estate again. "

"We had a great time in Killin. This property was excellent and as portrayed . There is a powder room on the ground floor and a separate closet with a washer (dryer is hot water based in same unit). 2 racks for drying damp clothes. Both bedrooms are upstairs one en-suite with shower and the other one has both shower and bath tub.The only watch out was a 200 GBP deposit that was not in VRBO description.Though accepted and normal I took off a star for this."

"We had a very relaxing few days here. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the check in process was completed quickly. We stayed in a two bedroom cottage, the accommodation was very spacious but still had a nice cozy feel to it. The on site restaurant served excellent food with a lovely atmosphere, just remember to book early as it was fully booked each night we were there. We will definitely be back."
