Very relaxed stay at the lake house. The paddle boats and kayak were the biggest hit as well as feedibg bluegills. We were lucky enough to see a full moon while roasting marshmallows on the firepit to make s'mores.
It was a great location and place to stay however it was dirty. It had dirt on the countertops and floors. They expect the guests to clean it up after they stay there but the previous tenants didn’t. So if you are only interested in the location this is the place to go.
The property was well kept and exactly what we expected. We have had many summers on this lake with several family members owning properties. Sadly they have all sold their properties and we now have a place where we can stay and enjoy the lake and wildlife.
It was a great stay! The pictures don't do this place justice.
A lot larger than it looks. Great kitchen, Incredible views.
Just note you need to bring your trash with you.Grat collection of games and movies to watch and play. The internet was very slow and spotty. 100/10
My family and I loved our stay at the lake house. It was very clean and a beautiful location. We visited nearby areas of Rhinelander and Eagle River. This was our first trip to the North Woods and it did not disappoint.
Great stay and property. Swimming was great off the dock. Fishing was pretty good also. Two very minor items: not aware that we needed to bring bath towels & wash cloths, we had to take our garbage home. I believe we will be back. Loved the stay. Jim & Barb Kluball

We were in the area for the fall ride and since we found this beautiful home on a lake we decided to bring our kayaks as well. We could not be happier with the house, it was absolutely beautiful. Every morning the guys enjoys their coffee while us girls cooked breakfast, we enjoyed the area ride on the bikes durning the day and coming back to a fire at night was great. Very nice way to relax and end the nights. We would definitely rent this house again
This property is located off of any main roads and is very quiet and relaxing! It was the perfect size for the five of us. On the lake we caught so many bass we lost count! We had a boat but there was also a paddle boat and a Kayak for the kids. THe lake is very large and connects to Bass lake which is also large. Everything about this property was very nice. I believe this is the most relaxing vacation we ever had!!!
Make sure you realize you must take garbage back with you. There is no wifi or TV stations (boys wanted to watch the packers / Brewers - oh well). Other than that it was in a great location no wake lake. Perfect lake for Kayaking or fishing. Amish bulk food store in Gleason has a wonderful Deli selection! Get worms from Country ladies.
This is the second time my wife have stayed here with our dog and we've really enjoyed it each time. We take our kayaks and paddle and fish on the lake which has great bass fishing.
The house is very comfortable with a great view of the water and the pier is just a few steps out the back door.
The house has a nice open, spacious kitchen/dining area, ample sleeping space, a comfortable living room with a TV, and a fire pit out back for enjoying an evening under the stars. The host is very easy to communicate with if you have any problems.
If you want to go to town, Rhinelander, Merrill, and Tomahawk are all within a half hour drive. And if you like beer, check out Sawmill Brewing Co. in Merrill. They have excellent craft beer, a nice outside seating area under tall pine trees with a small stage for local performers, and you can bring your own food (if you like Mexican fare, I recommend Los Mescales).
All in all, a very secluded, peaceful and relaxing place to stay.

Nice litte house
Husband and I wanted a relaxing week away to recharge. This is definitely a good spot to do this. The lake is very peaceful and quiet. Was expecting to see more birds- eagles especially, but did see a few loons. Husband caught a bass and some Blue gill, which we grilled up.
Only disappointment is the lack of Wi-Fi/ internet. We had very poor reception on our phones. Now, granted, some would say that this is truly getting away- and it was fine, but I do like to stay connected with what is going on in the world. That being said, it did give us time to play games together and just relax.
We both brought our kayaks along, and enjoyed tooting around the lake exploring.
Maybe have a kayak available? Would be nice to not have to bring along.
Overall- great place- VERY CLEAN, nice open space. Comfortable.
Thank you, Susan!

Really nice but room for improvements
Overall it was a nice stay and the cabin is nice. BUT, a rough start finding mouse droppings on the sheets of one bed. The backup sheets were laying on the closet floor in an open garbage bag with mouse droppings on the bag. No thank you from the host for changing the sheets and not making a big deal about it because yes, it is a cabin. None of the linen was in totes to keep the mice out, only the plastic bags they were bought in which is a perfect home for mice. There was a big note on the refrigerator about how we were expected to clean the cabin but were charged a $100 cleaning fee. In the refrigerator there was blood under the glass shelves that probably leaked from a package of meet and the rest of the refrigerator was not cleaned well or at all. There were popsicles left in the freezer from someone. I asked the host about where the bath towels were located because every other place I have rented included towels and the host replies bluntly with the listing says "we don't provide towels" but the truth is that the listing doesn't say anything about bath towels and you have to assume they are not included. The basement sump pump runs about every 20 minutes so if you are a light sleeper, that is rough. It's very peaceful outside, that is until a vehicle drives down the road across the lake and it echoes across the water. The water out of the faucet was hard and tasted bad. There was an electric skillet in the kitchen but no power cord. Cell booster was nice but no WiFi or ca
We had a great time. The house is so much bigger and nicer than it is on pictures. We cut some pan fish right from the deck.
Kitchen is well equipped, two things we missed - aluminum foil and plastic wrap but we managed without it just fine.
The add said no Wi-Fi but we could use our e-mail. Phones worked very well.
Our group was 4 adults, 2 very young kids and a dog. Plenty of room for everyone.
The lake is beautiful just few steps from the door.
Highly recommended for any group of people who appreciate nature.
Excellent accommodations. Clean cabin with all the amenities except wifi...which is AWESOME!! Nice kitchen with good room to prep and cook. Beautiful view of the lake qith morning coffee..Decent fishing from the dock. Lots of small bluegills, but bigger ones are present. Also caught crappies and bass. Being a trout fisherman, I explored and found some great creeks and rivers, and caught limits. Awesome, quiet lake. Cabin is in a no wake area. Bigger part of lake had some activity but not much which was perfect for us. Loons were calling in the morning. I spent my summers on a lake in Northern Wisconsin that my oldest sister lived on as a kid in the 70's, and this brought back alot of good memories. Not alot of places like this around anymore. We will definitely be booking for next year!!
Our small family really enjoyed this sweet lake home. It is both cozy, and spacious. Our beds were very comfortable, The kitchen had everything we needed, and you can’t beat the view and the access to this gorgeous, calm little lake.
We stayed with our family of three plus an aunt and uncle, and had plenty of room for all of us. We loved how open the house was. Our 7 year old daughter caught tons of bluegills right off the pier and we also went swimming there too. The pictures were deceiving in a good way... Everything seemed much bigger inside. Very clean and had all the amenities. I'm sure it's in the listing, but the only thing we forgot were towels but we ran down to Merrill to get some, so no big deal. Would definitely come again.
Excellent lake front home for our summer vacation. House was very nice and had everything our family of four needed for the week. Comfortable beds. No WIFI, but they have a cell phone single booster, that with our wifi hot spot, our son was able to do school work for an elective summer school class. Fishing was excellent. In the bog area just right of the property around the corner, we caught many bass and blue gills. Many great fishing spots, easily accessed from the property. Loved how close to the water the house was. Had bon fires almost every night, just a few feet from the water. The stars at night were absolutely amazing. We also atv'd right from the property. Easy access from the property to the Harrison Hills trail system. 5 minute to get to the trail head. Otherwise can ride most roads also. Narrow private drive to get to the lake houses in this area. Also a steep driveway made it a little tricky to back our 28ft trailer in with our utv and atv's. Was able to do it, just a little tricky. Plenty of flat area to park. Communication with Susan was excellent. Very quick to respond to my questions. Would definitely stay again in the future.
