Malabar Cove - LAKEFRONT, QUIET, & RELAXING!
Malabar Cover is a cozy, quiet, and relaxing lakefront home on the Little Bay De Noc portion of Lake Michigan. The home has a huge backyard on the lake, which provides lots of space for kids to play. Two kayaks are included! The backyard also has a large deck with outdoor furniture and a very nice firepit for bonfires. Inside, the home is very cozy with a woodsy and nautical theme throughout the home. This is a great place for exploring the U.P. or just relaxing and enjoying the beauty!
The property has well water, which can cause the water to possibly have an iron taste. We recommend using bottled water.

Wonderful property. Close enough to anything we'd need in Escanaba and still felt "away from it all" during our stay. Check in was simple and easy, and while the host was always only a text or phone call away, we found ourselves wanting for nothing. Such a great stay.
We had a great stay! Particularly loved the huge and comfy living room with great views of the lake along with a large television, which provided for a fun family movie night! We also had a lot of fun hiking at the Days River Nature Trail, which is just 1.8 miles from the cabin.
It was a beautiful property with a gorgeous view! The bedrooms were adequate size and the area was very pretty! The only complaint was it seemed the tv had no local channels. Most everything was streaming.

wonderful stay- loved it so much
We felt very comfortable and happy staying at your cabin this past week. I loved feeling good about being able to make meals in the nice kitchen and enjoyed our coffee in the living room looking at the water. Absolutely fabulous!
We did day trips and were within a reasonable distance to everything from this spot. I provided some feedback directly to the manager based on my experience of doing many VRBO rentals and hopefully they've implemented some of them! I will say here though, that if a home 'sleeps 6' there should be no 'extra guest fee' when you indicate 4 will be staying. [Anything over 2 guests, is what they said triggers the fee - this didn't seem right.]
It was a nice, quiet location right on the lake. Lots of songbirds, loons, and deer! Master bed was comfortable. Older than I expected, with uneven flooring and bathrooms that appear original to the home. More rustic than I had anticipated but comfortable and cooler than where we're from in the south, so it worked out!

Mr.
Fantastic cottage and perfect location for Ice Fishing
Seems like a personal home that's been turned into a rental property in the last few years. The house contains basic necessities but lacks some attention to children: Kayaks but no life jackets; board games but no basic toys for water; and a rule of no throwing rocks or sand (absolute torture for a young boy). Small details that wouldn't affect adults, otherwise a beautiful view and nice place to stay.
We loved our stay. My favorite part of yhe house was the 'living room' area where I could look out to the water each day. My child loved trying fishing. We had a fire one night and did smores. My only critique is to clean the fan in the smaller bathroom as it was in need of a little dusting. Would stay here again. Others mentioned sulfer smell...maybe a little, but nothing extreme.
Our visit was dual purpose. I was there looking for properties to build a house on as well as convincing my adult children to move up north with us. After staying in this beautiful and comfortable home, it gave them the feel of living in the area. Cozy bon fires at night, kayaking and fishing all day. Dinners and card games in the evening with the family. And a safe and beautiful community surrounding us. They couldnt say no.
They fell in love with the UP and got a glimps into what future we can have together as well as putting down roots and starting their own families there. Its an experience we would not have had staying in a regular stuffy hotel room. Thank you for letting us enjoy your property. We will be staying with you again.
Cool place for a small group. Everything advertised is spot on. Have booked this place 2 years in a row with some friends and all of our sons. All I will say is out of the owners control. The neighbor to the north is always watching you and has no problem walking up to the kids to ask them questions about why you are there. I confronted him about that last year, very nicely, but first 10 minutes there out he comes approaching the boys. He heads back to his house as soon as I start walking towards the kids. He may be the fire chief as he is very quick to mention, well there is no fire, we are quite, our boys and us fish all day, but I guess some people just feel the need to make themselves known. Poor guy! Other than that you have been great we all thank you very much.
