Incredible mountain getaway!
We have stayed here a couple times before, and it never gets old. The house is extremely well maintained, perfectly clean, and super cozy. It is right off the Blue ridge parkway, so there are a few ways to get to it. There's also plenty to do nearby in terms of outdoor activities... We hope to return sometime soon!

Comfortable and beautiful stay in Sparta
The house was so comfortable and well stocked, perfect for our one week stay visiting family in Sparta. The Blue Ridge Highway was closed right by the house when we visited, but Google Maps led us straight there without any issues using a different route. Will probably stay again the next time we visit Sparta!

Relaxing Weekend
The property was as described, nice & quiet. The cabin was well stocked but the furniture could be updated. The deck was great with the best views. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice quiet getaway.

Just a great property - one of the best rentals I have ever used. The location is superb with so much to see within 30 minutes you would need a week just to get started. Clean and fully stocked with everything. Cannot say enough about how well this worked for our family. We will be back.

Enjoyed our stay!
The Parkway Log Cottage was clean, comfortable, well laid out, and had a big backyard with lovely views, especially with the horses nearby. We enjoyed relaxing and having lunch on the nice long deck in back. The sunrises were beautiful. The Kitchen had just about anything you needed to cook a meal. It was very close to the Blue Ridge parkway (even though the closest entrance near the cottage was blocked off during our stay). And we loved checking out the NC Stone Mountain Park that was also near by. Great place for a picnic lunch near the homestead! The Owner and property manager were very responsive whenever we had questions. We would definitely love to stay here again!💗

Wonderful weekend getaway
We had a wonderful weekend celebrating our daughter’s 20th birthday and Father’s Day. It was so peaceful to sit on the deck and watch the horses and it was especially entertaining to see our pups excitement about the horses and bunnies. We went to the brewery with the dogs for live music Friday night and then had a fantastic dinner at Muddy Creek. Saturday, we enjoyed strolling along the Main Street downtown (made purchases at the candle store, Ofelia’s, and Backwood Beans). We enjoyed having dinner on the deck with a fire in the fire pit and capped off the evening playing a board game. One final note - the beds were super comfy!

Pleasurable Getaway
The property was very relaxing and had a great view off of the back deck. The living room could have had an easier couch or seating arraignment to get up out of. My wife and myself have back issues and it was difficult for us to get up out of the couch. I'm sure with a couple of changes the property would be more pleasurable for handicapped individuals to enjoy. Other than that, the dogs and ourselves enjoyed the deck and the long gate at the carport was a great plus to keep everyone safe. Plus the proximity to the Blue Ridge Parkway was right around the corner. Great Place! Thanks!

Incredible Home
This home is immaculate the moment you drive in! It’s absolutely perfect for a wine weekend getaway. The home is accessible (there are 3 stairs in the back and a few single steps around the home) but very sturdy and well built. You’ll be obsessed with the back porch instantly, the view is like no other. The owners have really thought of everything! Comfortable seats everywhere, sturdy benches at the fire pit, and even a sliding gate on the deck to keep pups and kids safe. I slept so well in the soft, cozy beds and loved the walk in showers. This home is perfect for families and gives that cabin feel, but with all the accessibility and convenience of home. Could not recommend enough, and hope to stay again in the future! There’s wineries and breweries just a few miles away, and even though it seems so remote it’s not that far from a town with restaurants and a grocery store. If you are thinking about renting it, trust me - it’s a good idea!

Short but sweet visit
We enjoyed our brief stay here. Everything was accurate per the listing, house was clean and fully equipped, and we appreciated the dog-friendly aspect. The owner communications were quick and accommodating. The only change we noticed from the listing is that the pictured horse pasture is now a pumpkin patch.

The Best!
This is one of the best rentals we've ever had! The house was beautiful, comfortable, and clean. It was the perfect layout for myself, husband, two kids, and a dog. The house was not lacking for things to do. Our kids loved playing in the yard and the basement area was stocked with yard games to play. The fire pit was so nice in the evening. Inside, there were games, puzzles, and books to enjoy. Our favorite part of the house was the huge porch spanning the entire back of the house. The view down into the valley was so peaceful. Even though there are other houses around, we didn't see or hear anybody else. It was private and relaxing - just what we were looking for! We hope to be back next time we need a relaxing, stress free getaway!

Mountain getaway near Camp Cheerio
Absolutely loved this house! Just what we needed close to our kids’ camp and all on one floor. Open layout, plenty of room, lots of light, great large deck, perfect yard for our puppy, sky full of stars, near great hiking, and so quiet & calm. We loved sitting outside in the morning and evenings when it was cooler and loved how peaceful it was. Stocked well with all needed appliances, and the rooms & bathrooms were perfect sizes. Beds were comfortable and always love having a Roku/smart TV when it was raining or too hot outside, or just wanted to catch up on shows or movies. Would 100% recommend this house and would stay here again. If you have kids at camp cheerio, it’s so close (10 minutes) and a great place fo get away while your kids are at camp. Didn’t have to contact the host as no issues. Thank you for sharing your house with us!!

Blue Ridge Parkway Home
We had a great time at the house that sits just off the Blue Ridge Parkway. The scenic drive on the Parkway was beautiful with all of the colored leaves of fall. We also hiked, visited wineries, and antique shops. The house was very clean and inviting. It had everything that you need for a great visit. Our host was Katrina. She communicated with us before the trip and it all went smoothly. We would definitely stay here again.

A Little Piece Of Heaven
We loved the house. My daughter in law wants to buy it!!! A couple of my sisters stopped by @ they loved it too. They also have friends & family they’re telling about the house. We loved sitting on the deck with our coffee & talking. We loved the horses, my granddaughter actually petted them, when they came up to the fence. We will be back.
