"It was a little hard to find, as entry is easy to miss and I wasn't sure which of the cabins it was. But once I got there it was worth the effort: a very nice shepherd's hut, with good facilities and the view was wonderful even in early spring, the only nearby neighbours are the pheasants and deer.Bad: Drive down (or especially back up) is very steep on gravel track so took some practice to get up. "It was a wonderful, peaceful, relaxing place to celebrate turning 60 with husband, two adult children and the dog! Booked only a week before so only had two nights... we should have booked longer. "The Hosts Jill & Andrew were brilliant always there if needed. Oak lodge was all you could ask for, 5 star accommodation, a super hot tub on the decking overlooking the fish stocked lake. So relaxing watching the fish surface and jump. Alpacas in the fields beyond and lovey views beyond them. No noise of cars, crowds or music, you are back to Nature If you're looking to get away from it all this is the place."
