"What a stunning hotel. It's like being in a film set. An authentic Chateau with bundles of charm. The people on site are exceptional nothing is a problem. "A very good stop. The people at hotel were very friendly and welcoming. It was not that far from motorway and even easier when we left going south. We ate dinner which was great - classic French but straight forward cooking. The bar was also used by the locals who all seemed very friendly!"

"The receptionist was friendly warm and welcoming. The room was spotlessly clean as was the bathroom and the best shower of our whole trip. I only wish there had been a kettle in the room to make a coffee in the morning. The food in the restaurant area, next door was wonderful. Again, the receptionist helped out in the breakfast room which became a little hectic but was nevertheless all that we needed. A very pleasant stay and I would happily stay there again. "

"When I arrived at this property the owner finally answered the door, she said she had no knowledge of my booking. Finally I had to email her a copy of my confirmation. This wasn't made any easier by her statement that "she spoke no English" - the website clearly states multilingual staff. (In fact it later became clear she did speak English). The 'living-room' is actually set out as a shop and did not feel welcoming - I was not invited to use it anyway. The only restaurant in Salives was unable...

"The staff could not have been more welcoming and accommodating. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Though I had booked a double room I was given two singles but, only because the key given was incorrect ( easy to confuse a 6 & 9!) but it was no issue for me, I should have questioned it but with two dogs in hand easier to just settle in the first room!
