"We had a bit of an issue getting into the property. Locals helped with calling the owner. Not sure what we would have done otherwise! Stairs to our shower area and balcony were not for anyone physically challenged. Very clean, comfortable mattress, darling small town, and lovely breakfast provided."

"The reception was extremely helpful with all our queries even before we got to the property and really helped make sure we had a comfortable stay. The apartment came with amazing views and the basic necessities. The pool was a very nice size and kept clean for us to enjoy. We also booked a horse riding lesson which was with a great instructor and I’d highly recommend a ride if you have the time. Thanks for the hospitality! "

"Let’s start with the good: lots of communication and the lady was very kind and helpful. Beautiful views and peaceful. It was nice to look out and see green EVERYWHERE!! The perfect place to relax. "Difficult to find, as only the name of the adjacent hotel, San Ruffino Resort, appears on the sign at the shared driveway. Room decor is in serious need of an upgrade (weird 70’s vibe and a lot of dangling wires) and the kitchenette and bathroom are rudimentary. Landscaping is dreary. Breakfast was basic and seemed like most items came from a supermarket. Helpful and friendly staff and the San Ruffino rResort pool (which Il Poggia guests can use) was pleasant, as were the grounds of the Resort."

"After an eight-day, April stay, we did not want to leave. Surrounded by fields of rolling green hills, this house was the perfect place to relax on the patio with glasses of wine and plates of pasta. Sonia and Rosario were excellent hosts and their shop (on the premises) was filled with their company’s pasta as well as sweet goodies like biscotti. Highly recommend!"
