We have a two bedroom cabin on ten acres located in Germfask, MI in the heart of the Upper Peninsula. Located with in a mile of the Manistique River which offers excellent fishing and canoeing/kayaking rentals. Located right off the snowmobile & ORV trails. Germfask is next to the Seney National Wildlife Refuge which offers hundreds of acres of trails, bird watching, & natural area.
Located 10 miles west of Curtis and the Manistique Lakes and right down the road from Round Lake & Luce County park. Centrally located 28 miles east of Manistique, 28 miles West of Newberry. ORV and/or snowmobile to Seney, Curtis, and any connecting trail to Munising, Grand Marais, Newberry and surrounding areas.

The Great Northern Stay
Nice place, great location for snowmobiling. Very easy to find and great communication with Joe to answer some questions about the rental and area. Could use some updates, but overall very satisfied with our stay and the cabin.

Easy to use kitchen. Beautiful bench to hold suitcases. Good location between Houghton and lower Michigan. Nice and quiet and easy to find.

The cabin was cute but there were mice. Listing said pool, but no pool. A big collection of VHS Disney movies, but no VHS player. Plenty of sleeping arrangements. Very quiet.

Comfortable cabin centrally located; snowmobiling trip
Parking was amazing; can easily park 3 trucks with snowmobile trailers. Easy access to the trail if there is enough snow (1/2 mile away) . We didn’t have enough snow to ride from cabin ( warm weather spike) but easy access to trailheads which we rode from. Cabin has a comfortable feeling you get when staying in a cabin owned by someone In your family or a close friend. You don’t feel like your intruding on someone else’s house. Will definitely return.

Noticeable Improvements
It is clear that the owner has taken steps to improve the property from earlier reviews. We had no issues with bugs or rodents, and the cabin was generally clean. It may seem a little rough around the edges, but it's clear the owner cares. Joe was easy to work with for check in, and we never had the need to reach out to him during our stay. The location was outstanding for us to visit family in Blaney Park and on Lake Milakokia. We will certainly return next summer.

Great Snowmobile Trip!!!
I have looked at this cabin for the past four years and have passed it up for others. We had a short notice, last-weekend-to-ride trip and we booked it based on availability and price. We were pleasantly surprised. Joe was super fast at communicating, and, unlike most VRBO rentals, the place is actually bigger than the pictures make it look. There were four of us, but it would easily accommodate 6-8 guys. Loved the location. Super easy to drive there, lots of parking and close to the trails. This was a late season trip, but earlier when there was more snow you could easily ride from this cabin to the trails. There was a forced air furnace (don't let the wood stove throw you off, it's not necessary), washer and dryer, Dish TV, all the comforts of home. We will definitely stay here again!

Bad Night
Had mice, lots of them. Evidence in every drawer and cupboard in the kitchen. My daughter laid down for bed and woke up to one in the bed with her. Needless to say it was not a fun night. We left the next morning and didn't come back. Had no communication from the owner, not a hey the keys are on the table, nothing. The gps took us to a field a mile down the road. I walked into this place not knowing what to expect and got mouse ville.

Great start to the trip, bad ending.
First off- I want to be clear I gave the owner two days to respond before posting this review. Completely ignored my message. Communication up front was extremely responsive and instructions were clear. We were extremely excited and thankful we could find a place that was pet friendly and could accommodate us on such short notice. Upon arrival- place was in a great location and we got settled in. First two nights were perfect. The third morning, we woke up to find my wife had over 10 bites across both hands, and arms. We pulled the sheets off to find two dead bed bugs, and black spots on the mattress. She was miserable while we went riding and still is itching bad to this day. I understand it is a cabin and it’s remote. But this property owner also needs to be aware of health concerns. ESPECIALLY in today’s climate. I hope they correct this for the next guest and do a thorough cleaning and sanitizing.
