"Custom home with breathtaking views! We stayed 4 days with our family on our first visit to Costa Rica. We enjoyed the natural beauty and the abundance of birds we saw from the expansive deck. The owner's knowledge and communication helped us plan for an unforgettable family adventure. We enjoyed our guide/driver Antonio's efforts and company so much we shared dinner together one night. Although new to his role, he will become an outstanding guide. He took the extra effort of making sure we had plenty of photographs of our group to remember the experience. A combination of beautiful surroundings and fantastic interactions with our host and guide, has us talking about our next trip to Costa Rica and Volare will be part of our itinerary."

"We loved our stay at Casa de Lis, from the host’s welcome and assistance with parking to a late evening drink on the roof terrace. The hotel is simply but tastefully decorated and our room - with small balcony- provided everything we needed for a comfortable night at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended "

"The only thing I didn't like was the restaurant. We ordered two lobster dinners and were served shrimp. When we stole the waitress that we ordered lobster and got shrimp, she looked at our plates and said, "no, that is lobster." I said no it is not and so did my grandson. Then she came back and said they could correct only one plate. I said, "how is that reasonable? We ordered two lobster plates and got shrimp. Why wouldn't you correct both?" It was a big to do and by the time I got my dinner, I had lost my appetite. Both the shrimp and lobster were over cooked."

"What a great place, the owners make to so! Everything was perfect! Hope to return one day! The construction has really impacted them... Had to drive along the closed road to get to them when we went... Said it's been under construction for 4 years! Gonna be a super freeway by there someday."
