"I imagine its just the age of the hotel showing and not so much the upkeep. We reserved this after showing up to 5 Themes and it being a room in the owners house. We weren’t comfortable staying there so we stayed here. It was the right decision. Definitely not a bad place and I won’t talk bad about it but I do think they could change a few things. "I don't want to say how lovely it was at this gite as I want to be able to book again when we're next in the area! Very friendly owners, around to help if needed otherwise they leave you alone. Huge flat gardens with lovely flowers/trees and shrubs. Plenty of garden furniture and places to sit and eat out, sunbathe or chill in the shade. "A stale kitchen smell hung around the reception and permeated the building. No lights were on and it was like entering a dark cave. I normally like quaint old hotels but this was just down at heel and dispiriting. The photographer must be very clever as the reality was dismal. The sauna was an extra 55 Euros so we didnt use it and didn't eat there as the stale smell was so unappetising. We would not have stayed except that we had booked and paid in advance."
