Cute little campground and cabin! There was a mix-up with our booking (not the fault of the property), but owner was super accommodating!
Views were great.
The waterfront cabin had a beautiful view except for the big excavator that was parked the whole weekend right in front of us. Nice area to clean fish at the marina. Cabin was clean on the inside. Only issue was the extremely noisy AC unit in cabin 6. Also the 3/4 of mile Rd going into the campground is a narrow rocked Rd. You have to pull over to let other vehicles pass. Difficult to get in touch with the campground owners to ask questions. Overall the Campground was very quiet located on a beautiful river. I would stay there again.
Third time staying here and won’t be our last. The cabin was very clean. We love being able to dock our boat. My only complaint is that the tv reception was terrible. We really wanted to watch college football but we were unable to even get major networks.
Had a nice time and was able to sit on porch and watch the water, plus we had taken our jet ski's with us so was able to ride the river to the ocean. Very quiet and relaxing place

Christmas vacation 2021
The cabin was wonderful. It was the perfect size for my husband and I and our 2 pups. Plenty of room both inside and out. I spent every morning on the deck with my coffee. The kitchen is bare minimum, with a stove top and full size fridge. Bathroom was sufficient with hot water. The cabin offered both heat and ac. We brought our DVD player from home after seeing other reviews about tv reception. Located close to shopping, there is a food lion and dollar general within a 7 minute drive. You have to have an access code to get onto property, so make sure to get the number off the sign at the main road. I did meet the property manager for checkin. Everything was fast and an easy process. The only issue was the blinds on the front door. They were damaged previous to our arrival and we were not able to put them down for privacy. We enjoyed our stay and plan on traveling back.

Relaxing
My husband and I have never been to the area and it’s a great little town on the river. Enjoyed our stay however the shower was broken and by the end of the stay it stopped working all together. Wish the kitchen was a little more stocked with cooking stuff but made due. Will definitely come back to Georgetown.
Reasonable rates. Has it's own boat landing and large docking area. The property manager doesn't do anything extra to facilitate the stay. Contact with her was almost nil. Other than that, the cabin is quite nice. The mattresses had plastic covers on the which caused me to sweat during the night and are not very comfortable. Lots of room to walk the dog and throw the ball for her. The layout of our cabin prevents you from watching TV on the sofa. We moved the sofa around so we could see the TV better. There is no Wi FI or cable TV. Reception on the TV is poor.
There was a mixup as to which days I could book, however the property manager was helpful in resolving the problem and getting me a refund for the missed day. Its probably a vrbo problem with the way they book days on the calendar. As far as the property, they have been working on improvements to the property for the last few years, and it's really turned into an awesome little family getaway spot. The cabins are so cute and cozy. The sunsets off the back porch are spectacular, and the fishing is super diverse. We were able to charter a fishing trip and were picked up right there on the dock steps away from the cabin. Georgetown is a cute little coastal town with a more local vibe but still driving distance to Charleston and Myrtle Beach with everything else in between. I think we've found our annual beach trip destination in this cute little camp ground. I almost didn't write the review because I don't want more people finding out about it!
My family and I had a great time here. 1st time visiting and will be going back as it was a relaxing place to be. We were able to take our dog with us and enjoy.
We had a wonderful time. The cabins we just perfect for the 2 of us. The views of the river were really nice to wake up to. Short drive to the beach! We will be back!!!
The cabin was nice and quaint! One linen was left out but that isn’t a huge deal. You have to call the campground for check in information, which is not specified in the listing. Check in was contactless. Road to the campground is pretty rough but looks like they have been working on it! Would definitely stay there again!
We enjoyed the neighborhood and made friends with several people. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Great place to dock our boat. Lots of outdoor room to walk the dog. The cabin was all we needed. Beds were firm but that was OK. We booked it again for another trip in July!
The cabins are waterfront, and present some great sunrise and sunset views. There's a boat launch and dock space. The cabins are well-equipped and comfortable. As other reviewers have noted, the beds are not comfortable, so bring padding if you want a more comfortable bed. I took an exercise mat to place under the sheets, and that worked for me.
We were there for a kayak fishing trip, and had a great time. I look forward to staying there again in the future.
Beautiful spot. Great cabin. Cool channel for boat rides.
When we first drove up the smell was horrible..Come to find out it is a plant nearby. It lasted that night and next morning. After that it was clear. The cabin was nice. Just what we needed for our two toddlers, my wife & dog.
We pulled a pontoon, had a good Welcome from the grounds keeper. Helped us with bags and parking boat. Plenty of space and the surrounding trees are beautiful! Once the smell was gone we were so releaved! Kids loved riding bikes and playing on the swing set. The boat ride on pontoon was epic. Low tide draws the water out to sea so we opted to go onto the channel and ride the current back to the dock. We saw two cool old ship wrecks and two awesome Eagles!! It was amazing! We caught two catfish which we ate later, nice and clean. Only thing is the bed was harder than a rock but the couch was cumfy. Recommend bringing a bed pad.
We only stayed 3 nights, we might see if we can stay another night, so we can hit the water again!
Staff was super friendly, the cabins were cute and cozy, and the dock / boat slip is really nice. This place is close enough to the coast to enjoy the beach, while also inland enough to enjoy other activities. We spent half a day fishing right off the end of the dock and caught a variety of fresh water and salt water fish.
Two pieces of advice though. The water smells like something, kinda like sulfur but not quite. Either way, we brought bottled water for drinking, and we're "camping", so I'm glad to have a shower and running water for dishes. Secondly, the mattresses are rock hard. We slept on top of the sleeping bags we bought and that made it a little more bearable.
overall, it was a nice little getaway and we'll be back (albeit with a mattress pad).
There were a lot of great things about this cabin and a lot of things that can be improved upon.
GREAT THINGS!
1. Plenty of room and great lay out.
2. BEAUTIFUL view!
3. Nice people
4. We felt safe.
5. Location was easy to get to and a quick drive or boat ride into Georgetown.
Things that need improvement:
1. The front door is a clear window which shows the beauty of the river BUT makes the cabin EXTREMELY HOT! (I know they make doors with blinds inside the window part. We had to put up a comforter to block the sun)
2. The cabin had A/C but was a wall unit and the bedrooms were still very warm in the 90 degree weather. (Maybe install ceiling fans in both rooms to move the air?) I had to sleep out in my car the first night it was so bad.
3. The boat ramp was a bit scary to put in and take out our pontoon as it was very sandy.
4. The documents inside the cabin were a bit difficult to follow. Where to place trash was not documented very well and I didn't know the check out process. No one was in the office at 11 am so I just dropped the key thru a mail slot in the door.
We hope to be back one day, just maybe not in July.
My wife, granddaughters and my son's fiance needed to meet my son who is stationed at Camp Lejeune, and we were fortunate to find this little jewel. They loved it! Great welcome, great stay! My son wants to meet there again when I come home from Afghansitan!
