"This was the perfect cottage for a winter getaway. I was solo, but the home could have easily accommodated many more. I loved the vintage touches and had a nice time listening to the classic vinyl records while enjoying a glass of wine and watching it snow. "This cottage was above and beyond our expectations. It was clean as a hotel, and had so many wonderful little touches that made it feel like it was set up just for us. The location is near so many great restaurants, great skiing, hiking trails, not to mention the gorgeous lake right in front of you. Elkins is a small peaceful town that feels so relaxing. It was perfect!"

This meant we drove a little more each day but we got to wake up and come home to this magical place. Seriously. We wanted to come home early each day to spend more time here. "Almost every window had a crack or a hole, patched only with clear tape. Some windows had no panes, just the storm windows to keep out weather. The "queen" bed is an uncomfortable full mattress on a queen frame - that's squeaks horribly every time you move. The couch bed was also very uncomfortable. The previous guests did not follow the checkout procedure and no one else ever fixed it b/c there was hair on the pillowcases when I arrived, indicating the beds were slept in and not remade with...
