Vacation in George!!
We loved out stay but at the end some of the one day visitors or visitors for a year end function chased our children away from the swimming pool, which I found rude and unasked for!! The same group of people was noisy and drinking and took our chairs from our porch.

Overpriced, too much noise
I stayed in a studio chalet. The studio was clean, and was cleaned everyday and the staff was friendly. The gardens and lawns are well maintained and green. I stayed 4 nights and on the first 3 nights it was very quiet as there were not many guests in the chalets. On the 4th evening it was extremely noisy. There was a group of school children on a tour that checked in who shouted and yelled from just after I returned from work until 9 pm. The same evening very loud music was being played on the adjacent sport fields. According to the resort rules it must be quiet after 10 pm. So it seems that loud noise is allowed until then, which is fine for people who want to camp with children, but not fine for people like myself who was in George for work. The chalet gets very hot late afternoon and there is only one ceiling fan. I kept my door closed and locked during the entire stay which was a good thing because one evening there was a beggar who actually stuck his head right into the studio to speak to me. It seems as if anybody can just walk into the premises. There were some mosquitos at night. In the shower the tap that is marked cold is actually hot. The Wifi could not even download my antivirus updates of 140MB so I did not use it. The room furniture is not what one would expect for the price. It does not compare well to other self catering apartments and hotels where I have stayed in the South Cape for the same price or even slightly less.
