We have stayed at many places in the world and some odd and eclectic. We have never seen such a poor place in our lives. The check-in was not accommodating as we had to be there at a certain times designated by the property owner. We had to get our keys from a lock box. They do not have lights around the property so we had to use our iPhone to find the room. The place feels very haunted with wierd noises, sweaky doors, views of nothing but scary darkness, doors that do not open (but have key holes - felt like it was haunted). The floor was hollow and wooden, so it felt like it could collapse below. The bed was bounce and cheap. Bath room sink sprays water all over the person rather than Weird noises all night. There were police outside of the hotel with some issues happening outside of the street - did not feel safe at all.
And that was just the beginning. The next morning came with rain made the walkways muddy. They pool could not be used and felt dirty. When we came to eat breakfast, probably the worst breakfast we had in all of South Africa and perhaps all the hotels in the world. The jam/peanut butter was shared across tables, so you had to ask other guest to use their stuff. The eggs tasted stale as the had stale vegetables. We could not eat anything but coffee and left.
Never book a hotel night here. There are many other options in Garden Route.
