The Space:
The Home’s floor plan is laid out over one level with a ramp up to the front door, opposite the single garage. The unit comprises of an open living and dining area serviced by an air conditioner, a fully equipped kitchen, two bedrooms with Queen and two long singles, a laundry, a bathroom with bath and shower and a large enclosed yard. This charming unit pays homage to the Geelong Waterfront with pops of blue and white throughout it’s styling giving it that coastal cottage feel.
Pulling up into the driveway, you may access the front turfed yard from the side gate, which has ample room for you pooch to run around. The entry of the home has a ramp into the front door, which opens into the lounge room which consists of two two-seater couches, a TV unit and a split system air conditioner which services the home. The room then flows through to the dining area, where there is a round four-seater table next to a medium-sized dog bed.
Off the dining room is access to the side yard which is concreted with flowering bushes up the side and a seating area for four. Heading back in, also off the dining area is the kitchen that has everything you need to cook for your group during your stay. Including a gas stove and oven, microwave, fridge, toaster and kettle, along with all the crockery and utensils you’ll need.
Entering the hall off the kitchen, first up, you have the second bedroom which hosts two single beds, bedside tables fit with lamps and a built-in wardrobe. Next is the Main Bedroom which hosts a Queen bed, bedside tables with lamps and a built-in wardrobe.
To the right of the hallway are the wet areas of the home, starting with the Laundry, which includes a washer/dryer, trough, stick vacuum and built-in cupboard with amenities such as an iron, ironing board, clothes horse, basket and mop. Opposite is the Main Bathroom which comprises of a built-in bathtub, shower (not roll-in) and vanity with hairdryer inside. In between the laundry and Bathroom is a separate toilet.
The property is pet friendly with two large yards to use, one turfed and one concreted, they may come inside and sleep on the provided pet bed, making sure to stay off the furniture. You will also have access to the single car park and street parking is free for larger vehicles and additional cars.
Guest Access
Keys will be placed in a secure key safe located at the property before your arrival. 48 hours prior to your check-in details will be sent out with specific details on the location of the key safe and code. You will not need to come to our office to collect. There is access to a small single garage with free street parking for additional vehicles.
The Neighbourhood
The property is located on Hillford St in the suburb of Newcomb, which is just an 8-minute drive from Geelong CBD where you can find shopping malls, restaurants, and Eastern Beach. Along with visiting the Geelong Waterfront, nearby places to visit include Geelong Botanic Gardens, The Amazing Mill Markets, MoPa: Museum of Play and Art and down the Bellarine Highway, Adventure Park!
For local necessities, there is an APCO with IGA Xpress, just a minute away on Portarlington Rd. And just a 4 minute drive away is Woolworths Newcomb where there is a little shopping hub, also including ALDI, Hungry Jacks and Celebrations Liquor Store. There are a few places to eat nearby the property, including Johns Fish & Chips, and a few shops on Charles St & Watsons’s Rd, including Smashville, NQR, VN Rolls – Bakery & Café and Wildfire craft BBQ.
Getting Around
If you’re not bringing your own vehicle there is public transport via the local bus network accessible at the end of the street, about a 5 min walk from the property. Ubers are also readily available in this area.
