We arrived late at night with no reception staff but we had an email earlier in the day telling us the door code which room we were in and on what floor and that the room key was left in the room for us.

Amazing location
The hotel location is perfect! Within walking distance of the main atractions of Gdansk it also benefits from its own restaurant with great food and a fantastic breakfast. The hotel itself is an interesting building. We had a nice stay but the room could have done with better blackout curtains as our room only had net curtains which let in the sunlight very early.

Hostel is OK...Hotels.com had poor communication
The reservation made through hotels.com did not show up in this hostel's system, so they only had available 2 of the 3 nights scheduled. It was a holiday weekend, so every other accommodation was booked in the city except for rooms that were four times the price that they usually are. We had to go to the next town, and the new room was still three times the price of what we were supposed to pay. This was more an error of Hotels.com than the hostel. As far as the hostel goes, it is in a great location and the building is old and beautiful, but the bathrooms are filthy, the walls are paper thin, and there is a restaurant inside of the building that is not part of the hostel, so people off the street can come and go through the hostel without anyone knowing who is who, so security is not great.

Great location. Excellent value.
Good hotel in a great location. Excellent value. Would definitely describe as a 'hotel' rather than a 'hostel'. Rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. One negative is that window latches were in poor condition and window blew open in the middle of the night in strong winds.

Great Hostel for a comfortable stay
Lovely Hostel with a nice comfortable room and private bathroom. Lovely staff and has a pub with a terrace on the ground floor which is convenient. Great location in Gdansk Main town. Only downside is the 3 or 4 flights of stairs to climb if you have heavy luggage. Whilst it's named a Hostel, it definitely has a Hotel feel.

Great hotel - very impressed
Stayed with a friend - great value for money - room was clean and spacious, staff were friendly and breakfast was lovely. Right next to the main canal in the old town with only a 2 min walk to the crane.Thoroughly recommend.

Cleanliness, comfort and condition only rated down due to very creaky floor and the bad condition of h::: the carpet. Otherwise, fantastic staff and location. Good size living, bed and bath rooms. Anyway, back to first comment. Great, great staff in reception and breakfast staff. Note - could do with extra towel or bath mat due to water getting on the floor from the shower.

Nightmare on St John's street
Noisiest place I have ever stayed.3 hours sleep in 2 days, just awful. This is not a hotel it is a hostel. Broken fittings in bathroom, no double glazing, no television, no tea or coffee. If you pay by card they rip you off, stairs are a killer, beds are just hideous. If you want to relax avoid this place at all costs.

Boendets läge var mycket bra. Alla gemensamma ytor var rena och fungerande. Tyvärr kan vi inte säga det om rummet. Rummet var inte direkt välstädat. Gammalt kort på golvet och på badrumsvågen. Vi hamnade i rum 0 och blev störda av hotellets mat och pubgäster då de trodde att vår dörr ledde till toaletten. Sen hade även personalen sina stödgrejer precis bredvid vår dörr så det var mycket störande moment. Vi bor gärna på hotellet igen men då i något rum på våning 1.

+ Erittäin mukava ja avulias henkilökunta, hyvä aamiainen ja sijainti 10! - Aika paha sisäilmaongelma (kunnon kellarin tuoksu), ainakin 4. kerroksessa jossa huoneemme sijaitsi, saatiin herätä aina nokka tukossa ja kurkut kipeinä. Rappuset ovat tosiaan kapeat ja hankalat mikäli on liikkumisen kanssa vaikeuksia, mutta se olikin jo tiedossa. Ilman sisäilmaongelmia voitaisiin ehdottomasti yöpyä uudestaankin 👍
