Saw the pictures online and was blown away as to how nice the house appeared - until of course when we arrived in person. We had a group of 8 individuals golfing at local courses in Gaylord, and we wanted to spend some downtime as well. I was drawn to the deck with the table and lights, etc. as we wanted to play some cards, etc. after golf, except that was no table on the deck or chair cushions for that matter - the chairs were leaned against the house. I read that the smaller house next door had window AC units, so I assumed central air - wrong again. Each room had a window unit, but no A/C on the main floor, and we tried to get some cross-ventilation (as it was 85 deg), but one of the door walls was painted shut. The eating area was ample for 8 people and was a plus for the house. However, no window treatments (blinds/shades) on the windows in the eating area, so unless you want your neighbors to say hi to you in your skivies, make sure you wear shorts and a shirt. Rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable, and the AC in the rooms was more than adequate. Bottom line is the place needs some TLC - just a few little things to spruce it up a bit. For instance, the kitchen sink window sill had leaves and maple helicopters from the previous season - seriously, vacuum them up cleaning people!! Put some window treatments in, get cushions for the chairs and install an AC unit in the main floor. Double check the gas stove as it was hit or miss on it working as well.
