We absolutely loved the stay here. Everything on the inside was very clean and everything that you would need is provided. The view of the river is beautiful and can’t wait to come back during the summer to enjoy the river. The property manager Cindy was very accommodating to anything we needed and would quickly respond to any questions or issues. Would highly recommend staying here.
This new Vrbo listing was a quaint Craftsman by the river. The owners quickly responded to any questions we had. The more adventurous members of our family enjoyed kayaking and paddle boarding in the river. Clean with a nice kitchen to cook in. Great wifi.
We stayed here for 4 days while in town for a rafting trip on the New River. We absolutely loved the bungalow! It was plenty spacious for 2 adults and one child and was stocked with the necessities. It's proximity to Kanawah Falls and New River Gorge National Park couldn't have been better. It was great being able to put in kayaks right from the yard and paddle on the Gauley, New, and Kanawah Rivers. We'd stay here again without hesitation.
My husband and I and our kids stayed in Gauley Bridge for two nights while my husband ran a 50 mile race - Highball to Thurmond. Cindy was a wonderful host and the property was perfect for us!
The house is off of a main road but that didn’t bother us at all since there is a little access road in the back right on the river. Such beautiful views from the deck, which was brand new. We enjoyed sitting outside and enjoying the beautiful weather.
Everything was exceptionally clean and the kitchen was well stocked with a Keurig and any cooking utensils and pots we needed. There is also a grill outside on the deck, but we ended up not using it. The house also has central air which was a huge plus.
Cindy was quick to respond to any questions we had and I also just have to say that the grounds caretaker, John who lives next door, was such a kind, friendly man! We chatted with him multiple times and he gave us a recommendation of a good dinner place that the kids enjoyed a lot.
All in all what a wonderful trip! If you find yourself in the area, I could not recommend a better place to stay!
We had an amazing stay. The house was adorable with an old school charm and modern amenities. The drives to everything was beautiful winding roads. The river was perfect for kayaking/paddle boarding and lots of fishing. It was absolutely perfect for my husband and I and our 2 teen boys.
Highly recommend River Expedition for white water rafting and New River ATV. Also, had a blast at Pirates Cove cliff jumping.
