You’ll wind your way across the Bent Creek Golf Course up into the beautiful 1000 acre Cobbly Nob Resort area as you head toward this spacious log lodge. Dancing Bear will delight you from the moment you pull into the flat parking area out front to unload and get ready for your vacation.

Lots of wood and special details with a mountain theme throughout, the décor and feel of this spacious lodge is delightful. Owners have put in extra time and attention to make sure the cabin is warm and welcoming with everything you need for a fantastic vacation. As you walk in the front door you will immediately be drawn toward the large back wall with tall windows facing your incredible view. Wow!!! All yours while you’re here. There is plenty of seating in the extra large living room so gather around for a movie, some great reminiscing and story telling, or curl up alone with a good book. Comfy, oversized couches and chairs, a large flat screen tv and a roaring fire in the fireplace on those chilly mountain evenings. And the view – always the beautiful mountain view.

Adjacent to the living room is the large dining area with a table that seats 12 comfortably – so gather around and add four more to the bar for a total of 16 seated together at meal time. Large kitchen furnished with everything you need to prepare extravagant meals to fancy desserts and country breakfasts. All new stainless appliances and a stand alone ice maker so you always have plenty of ice. It will make 50 lbs per day so fill your cooler for day trips without running by the store. We have even provided in cabinet refrigerator drawers - 2 of them for extra fridge room for your large group. Come on in and gather around – this is the kind of place where you make memories that last a lifetime.

The main level offers two king suites beautifully decorated and conveniently located with no stairs for those who simply don’t want to or can’t maneuver them. Flat screen tv’s and plenty of room to rest and rejuvenate at the end of your long, hard day of “being on vacation”.

Ahhhh – can you see yourself sitting on that deck, in that rocker and sipping your beverage while gazing at the mountains? Or the stars? Or the birds? This deck will keep you wanting to hang out and enjoy the great outdoors and the fresh mountain air. It’s beautiful and it’s all yours for your entire stay.

Lower level has a fabulous game room which includes shuffleboard, 2 flat screens, pool table and arcades. The 20 inch flat screen so you can watch your game while everyone else enjoys their movie on the 70 inch flat screen. No need to be bored here – the kids and adults alike will find plenty to do just hanging out at the cabin. Cable tv throughout with sports channels and HBO among others.

Two king suites located on the lower level with flat sreen tv’s and private baths. Both beautifully decorated with your comfort in mind. Large arm chair for relaxing and a 4 foot padded bench you will use for many things. Tying your shoes, holding your suitcase. A moment’s rest between activities.

The lower deck has your private hot tub with those amazing bubbles to help your tired muscles after hiking the mountain trails or braving the shopping at the Tanger Outlet Mall. Privacy, hot bubbly water, the mountain view and your favorite people – what an incredible place to relax and enjoy your time together. The hot tub will delight young and old alike and it’s all yours ……..enjoy!

Loft area is all wood with high ceilings and beautiful angles and accents …..and fabulous mountain views. Day bed with trundle tucked in a nook perfect for relaxing and reading or providing extra sleeping for the little guys.

Two King suites on the loft level, each with daybed and trundle to sleep 2 extra little guys in the room with Mom and Dad or put all the kids together in one room.

Full sized washer and dryer for the needs of the group. Wifi. Access to the swimming pools in Cobbly Nob for those hot summer days between Memorial Day and Labor Day.

Located about 6 miles from the Rocky Tops Sports Complex - easy drive back and forth if you're here for an event.

You’re only a short drive from the Greenbriar entrance to the National Park with lots of hiking and the Little Pigeon River runs all through it. Beautiful and close by.
