This cabin is easily accessible & conveniently located to both Gatlinburg & Pigeon Forge (using the bypass). Communication w the home owner was great. We also got to see several bears!
Property was great, just as advertised. Saw 3 bears the first afternoon. We look forward to visiting again!

Family Vacay in the Smokies
Needs some up keep. Railing is weak around the outside deck. The tin on the roof is exposed and is at head level for young children that could cause major injuries. Needed some cleaning under the furniture and if you have a large group of people, more towels and wash clothes are needed. We had to wash towels .We had a group of 7.
We enjoyed every minute of our stay! The house is amazing and rustic. Plenty of space for our family to stay but still just a short drive to get to town. I love how you can tell the owners truly care about the home and their guests!!
The property was exactly as described. The peaceful setting was perfect for relaxation. The directions to get there were easy to follow. The instructions for the cabin along with the recommendations were helpful. The Wi-Fi eas great, which was so nice after not having service in most of the places we went. We loved being so close to downtown Gatlinburg and all of the hiking trails.
This is a great Cabin. Perfect distance from main strip in Gatlinburg as well as hiking spots. Perfect size for our family. The property owner was very detailed in directions and with tips for food and things to do. Will absolutely stay here again :-)
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect as it provided quick access to all of the tourist destinations as well as to the National park. The layout was exactly what we were looking for. The deck view was perfect for our mountain getaway. During our 7 night stay we had 39 bear sightings from the deck. The hot tub was great for soaking after our hikes in the mountains. We can’t wait to come back!
Beautiful place to stay for the Thanksgiving holiday! The whole family has a great time and there was a lot of things to do and see. The hot tub was great - clean, working and perfect on a cold night. The pool table brought out the competitive side of the family :)
There was plenty of space for the family to have quiet time for themselves. Would definitely recommend others to stay in this cute and cozy cabin! The Christmas decorations were an added bonus!
We had such a blast during our stay - saw bears everyday but one. The communication with the propert manager could not have been more clear and the check-in process was seamless. Even our teenagers had fun! The location was perfect, just a 10 min drive to Gatlinburg and the scenery was breathtaking. We will definitely be back!!
The cabin was clean and spacious and beautiful. There a high chair there for baby, wished there wouldve been a pack n play but it was fine bc hs ealways sleeps with me anyways... i expected 2 tubs but there was only 1. But it was totally fine . Worked out great. We really enjoyed our vacation.
We enjoyed this chalet on Spring Break. The location is perfect. Just a short drive to downtown Gatlinburg and entrance to the Mountains. The chalet was beautiful and perfect for our family of 5. Everyone had their own room, which was perfect! Everything there that you could possibly need. The hot tub and pool table was an added bonus! If I had anything negative to say, it would be that the beds are very hard and
Was a great stay we were there for spring break. Of course it was cold and snowed one day and then the last day was in mid 60’s but made the best of it. The cabin was nice, you could tell some things had not been cleaned, a lot of dust but over all was a nice cabin for a family with kiddos. Good accommodations and the owner was very nice when we couldn’t get the fire place to turn on. The Hot tub was nice for 4 adults.
Overall the cabin was clean, but there were a few minor issues. There was a used washrag left hanging on the back of the main bathroom’s door, the towel rack in the main bathroom was broken and being pulled from the wall and there was a used tissue on the floor of the master bedroom. We ended up using a box fan in the master bedroom, but one of the other fans did not work and the upstairs bedroom gets very hot. Aside from these minor issues the stay was great. The location was very close to downtown Gatlinburg and easy to get to.
The cabin was a nice reprieve. It was clean and everything was as described. We seen bears everyday so keep things locked. The property manager was very responsive with questions. Only thing I would change is the mattresses were very firm and I’m not use to it. But it was a three story cabin (basement, main floor, loft) so plenty of room. We loved the pool table and hot tub. You are only 5 min from gatlinburg but far enough out you feel secluded. The neighbors were all extremely friendly. Over all it was a wonderful experience. I will gladly book again.

Not a good place to stay
This property had not been cleaned well.
Overall not as it should have been. Property is In need of repairs and maint. work.
The deck had not been swept in some time. The table on deck was very dirty.
The water in hot tub was not good at all. The chemical balance was way off.
There was only a few rolls of toilet paper for 6 people for 7 days. We had to go buy more.
No dish towels in kitchen.
We have stayed in a number of properties over the years and this is the worst we have stayed in.
My girlfriends and I wanted to kick off the holiday season and have a chance to catch our breath after a crazy COVID year...WFH, kids being homeschooled, no vacations, very limited interaction with friends and family...and that’s exactly what Bear Haven provided for us!!! We felt the cabin was very clean which gave us peace of mind and comfort during our stay. Every night, we watched Hallmark Channel Christmas movies (thanks, Johnny!), with the fire going and by the light of the Christmas tree while snuggled in blankets and drinking hot cocoa! We were very cozy, exactly what one hopes to find with a mountain cabin. The trip was just what we needed!! The instructions the owners provided via email were very helpful. We loved that the driveway wasn’t steep (and scary) like others we’d seen! We didn’t see any bears which was a good thing for some of us and a disappointment for others lol. We read in the guest book that the people who’d stayed there a week before us had seen several bears! Bears or no bears, we all decided that we would definitely return to Bear Haven and hope to make it an annual trip!!
Quiet Location close to Gatlinburg, needs some work
The location was great, only a few minutes up the mountain from downtown Gatlinburg. We loved that we would see at least 1 bear a day taking a stroll through the neighborhood, but make sure you LOCK your vehicles. We had one that was trying to open my SUV doors, luckily it was locked!! The kitchen had everything we needed, and there was plenty of space for my family to spread out throughout the cabin itself. Beds were firm but comfortable. We enjoyed using the wrap around upper deck, the swing was very dirty and needs a good cleaning or replaced. The cabin itself wasn't as clean as I had expected, definitely needs some work, updating and a good deep clean throughout. The basement smelled musty and we needed to run the dehumidifier. Basement bathroom toilet leaks & shower curtain isn't long enough so easy for water to splash out on the floor. Master bedroom electric outlets were very loose and wouldn't hold my iphone charger, so I had to push the nightstand up against it to "hold" it in place to work. The bathroom floor was very dirty especially along the baseboards. The AC stopped working but the owner was easy to contact and had a repair man come check it out within 48 hrs. Overall we had a great family vacation in the smokies, just a little disappointed in the cabin.
