"The gite is well equipped and is good sized for a couple. The two stand-outs for me were: The picture south-facing window, so had wonderful light and an incredible view that changed through the day: The downstairs bedroom which stayed cool even with 30c days. It's great location to explore the Cevennes and further south into the Herault. The area is astonishing and should be better known. The roads are almost deserted and no destination I went to felt crowded. I went wild swimming in deserted...

"Lovely couple , beautiful amazing place , nice and peaceful just what i wanted , if you like peace and quiet and walks this is ideal, ,exactly as described, they gave us a couple of bottles of wine which was very nice 😀, i took car so could drive to monoco and st tropez and also get about ,supermarket 10 mins away ,saving up now to go again awesome holiday 😀"

"Lovely setting with large, rambling gardens over many levels. Great swimming pool with lots of sun loungers. The kitchen was very well equipped. The only negative is that house is split over many levels, with lots of staircases and we didn’t get this impression from the website."

The location, close to Nimes and Sommières, was beautiful and easy to find. The village of Combas is picturesque in every way. "Delightful historic house set in beautiful grounds with very spacious accommodation. 2 minutes to the boulangerie! 5 minutes walk to Le Table D'Amis Chez Richard & Le Papareil. Both excellent restaurants & very friendly. The family would all love to return to this amazing house!"

"The little house is absolutely beautiful and the surrounding property is beautiful and completely quiet. Only sounds are from the birds and the two donkeys, who tell you that they wouldn't mind some carrots now and then:-) Monique and her husband are perfect hosts and make you feel very welcome.
