Buffalo Trace Retreat - Outstanding Mountain Views, Close to Park

Split-level home with 3 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms. Spacious, well-equipped Kitchen, open floor plan with kitchen, family room, dining area and breakfast bar. Deck off family room with excellent view of Electric Peak and Sepulcher Mountain. Larger home excellent for large groups and families with children. Downstairs has one bedroom, reading/sleeping nook, full size pull-out sofa. Downstairs has one full bath and complete laundry facilities. Upstairs has two bedrooms and two baths. Upstairs family room has 55 inch flat screen, downstairs family room has 40 inch flat screen and master bedroom has 30 inch TV. Netflix and wireless internet. Desk area upstairs with mountain view for our guests that need computer time while on vacation.

Gardner cabin
My family and I stayed here for 5 nights for Christmas week and it was everything we wanted. Beautiful location with a very pretty view of the mountains. Plenty of kitchen space to cook for the family. Very short distance to Yellowstone hot springs and 30 minutes from Chico. Cabin was very clean and exactly as listed. Easy to find and check in check out process was simple.

Perfect for Yellowstone NP visit
The location near Yellowstone NP north entrance and being in the heart of Gardiner made all our needs and plans very easy to fulfill. Ideal for a family visit to Yellowstone NP. Would highly recommend!

Great location at North entry to Yellowstone!
Location is just a short drive to the north entry into the park, which was very handy. House had lots of bedrooms and bathrooms, which was necessary.

We loved the location as well as the view from this home. Beds could use memory foam but that is a personal opinion and it might be perfect for others. We would stay here again!!

Perfect location for North Entrance to Yellowstone
We really enjoyed this property from the beautiful views to the perfect in-town location. The house is within walking distance to the grocery store, yummy restaurants and the north entrance of yellowstone. The park is what brought us here and staying further away would have been difficult. Easy communication with owners and they let us check in a bit early which was nice.

Second time staying in this home. It feels like a home, not a hotel, and is spacious enough for all of us. Great mountain view from front window. Highly recommended.

This is an amazing home, which became an oasis after being in the mountains for the day. Great location to enter the the park and walkable to town. Natalie was the best providing insider information. House was clean, comfortable and well stocked! .

Family vacation
Home was very spacious with plenty of room for our six member family to be in. We were able to be together or have our separate space. Very close and convenient to Yellowstone Park which was a plus as we spent three days there. We had a comfortable home to stay in and a wonderful time in the park. Thanks!!

Positive - Location is excellent, Views from sitting room and balcony upfront are astonishing. Has all kitchen appliances, had large washer and dryer. Negative - the listing advised that only soap would be provided but the soap provided was a small disc for 3 days stay. Ridiculous.

Great property at a great location
The property was absolutely beautiful. The house was right in the center of all the most beautiful views. It was perfect size in accommodating 7 people. The only issue I had, is there was only 6 towels for 7 people. The person getting the house ready should be aware of how many people will be staying and make accommodations for 7. I would absolutely stay again

Great house in Gardiner, Montana
House was roomy with nice layout and quiet rooms. Great towels. Temperatures were in the 90s when we were there, and it was great to have air conditioning. Great view of the mountains and night sky. Good location with easy access to Yellowstone Park, with town a couple blocks away and entrance to park less than 1/2 mile. Owner responded promptly when we had questions, and was full of good suggestions for activities. Would definitely stay again.

Perfect location at Yellowstone north entrance
The house was just a few minutes from the Yellowstone entrance, very convenient. The house has a nice view of the mountains. The only complain was that there weren't enough towels for 6 people and I did put down 6 people when I booked the place. Luckily we had brought extra with us.

Wonderful Visit!
We (party of 8) stayed 3 nights at Buffalo Trace Retreat. Located in Gardiner it was few minutes from the Yellowstone North entrance and had great views of the surrounding hills. The house was absolutely clean when we arrived and was beautifully decorated. The kitchen was well stocked and the bedrooms had enough space for all of us. Kevin and Natalie were wonderful hosts and went out of their way to accommodate our request for a rice cooker. We appreciate the gesture and will consider staying again when we visit Yellowstone.

The Locations is Perfect - the Views are Stunning
Buffalo Trace Retreat is a gem in the little town of Gardiner. Location: Everything is within walking distance. Super convenient to all of our tours - rafting, horseback riding, and ziplining. House: The house is very well appointed with everything you will need. They even have a little coffee bar setup! We loved having the grill to cook out and watch the elk stroll by in the evenings. Waking up to the sprawling hills of YNP does not get old. Highly recommend!

Home away from home
We SO enjoyed our stay at Buffalo Trace. It was such a great location to enjoy YNP. We found the accommodations to be very comfortable and relaxing. The town of Gardiner was very quaint. Kevin and Natalie were very helpful when we had a mishap with door combination. 😳 oops. Would LOVE to come back someday 😀 Only hiccup….internet was subpar. But who comes here for the internet?

Perfect location, lovely home
The home was lovely and exactly as presented online. We had plenty of room for everyone and it is close to everything in Gardiner and the north gate. Kevin was quick to respond to questions and was very generous in allowing me early access to the home so I could put my luggage inside for just a few hours while I picked up the rest of my party from the airport. The home is very comfortable and easy to keep clean and the view from the front windows is amazing. We had a great time and would love to stay there again.
