"Hotel was empty, asked for a room with a better view (a few doors from our room) so that we can see the ocean unobstructed. There were no difference in rates in the rooms. The service agent lied to us that the hotel was fully booked (I could have reserved 10 rooms on Expedia that minute) and did not even look at our request. The room was dirty so was the washroom. Clearly they want to be an upscale resort but are really not."

"Hotel Carlia provided us a comfortable stay for our one night in Uddevalla. The bed was comfortable and the blackout curtains conveniently shielded us from any of the light during midsummer. The room was clean, though a bit outdated in the bathroom. Plenty of space throughout. It would have been nice to have more climate control as it felt rather hot and humid in the room. "I thought i just needed a place to sleep for the night. It turns out what i REALLY needed was a night at the spa. Everything was incredibly quiet and comfortable. Angelina was behind the counter and made everything flow seamlessly. She really went the extra mile to ensure i had a wonderful visit. I truly cannot say enough about this place and the place i found here. I will make it a part of all future travel plans to the area because it was such a positive experience. "We stayed one night. The room was small but the bed comfortable although it was against the wall so not so convenient to get out of. We had dinner in the restaurant as we had received a discount for food. The menu was a bit limited but ok. B'fast was good even if did not have a massive choice. The staff was friendly and the location is walking distance to the harbour and centre of town plus there are a few parking spaces. "
