Top Floor Front Suite with Direct view of Babe's Beach and the 61st Peir

This suite sleeps six and is a top floor front unit with a full view of Babe's Beach and the 61st Pier. There is a live stream from the top of our porch at Galveston Seawallivevideo where you see the view at any time. This is the best location in Galveston across from the newly renovated Babe's Beach and some of the best fishing in Galveston at the 61st pier. Play on the beach or jump into one of the two swimming pools located at the Casa Del Mar. Later, stroll down the beach and come back to cook your catch on your own stove and full refrigerator or walk down the seawall to many of the closely located restaurants and bars such as The San Luis Steakhouse, Grotto, Blake's Bistro, IHOP, San Luis Bar, H2O Bar, Landry's Seafood or Rainforest Café. Finally, settle in and watch a movie on one of the five televisions. Newly renovated with two smart TV's, a new glass door to the patio, a new sofa sleeper, black out drapes, all new sheets and towels and a Keurig coffee maker. You will have a great time!

Great location. Kids loved the bed and the hallway. Basically communities in the kitchen provided. Beach chairs, and beach toys also provided. Bed master bedroom is farm. The oven is not full-sized, so larger premade dinners may not fit. Ice machine available downstairs. Will definitely return in the future.

We had a great stay here. Very clean. Small but cozy. We loved it. There is a $43 parking permit that I forgot to add into our budget. Very convenient location. We walked across the the beach many times and then loved walking over to Rita’s… that is one of our favorite places in Galveston!!!

Great spot. Nice view. Was not loud as you would think. Great overall trip.Only negative was the pull out bed in the living room. That definitely needs fixed but thank you again

Really enjoyed our stay…although quite small it was perfect for our little family…the only downside to it is that you are on an extremely busy intersection so if you are looking for peace and quite then this ain’t the place for you but it didn’t bother us at all and would highly recommend this place….thank you for making my family vacation one to remember!

Very cute! Once we hit pass the entry code, we were delighted with the convenience of the location. Parking was great. Beach just across with great views from the balcony. A little small but we loved how cozy and clean everything was. No complaints! Will come back! 💕

Happy New Year
We've enjoyed New Year at the beach before,and this year was no exception. The front view is always the best way to go, as there is always someone who wants to show off! The fireworks never disappoint, and the only way to enjoy all of it is from the front row. The condo was clean, neat, and easy to access. Between streaming and cable we had access to whatever we wanted to watch. The staff was very helpful, even though we got the property through VRBO, and not through them. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Quiet and quick walk over to the beach!
Super easy check in for parking. Great location - literally across the street from the beach! Small and cozy and clean. I never heard a neighbor through the walls- big plus for me. Great views from the balcony. Bunk beds were definitely for smaller kiddos - the pullout couch was a better option for my tall boys. We had everything we needed to cook and Krogers was just down the road. Borrowed their beach chair which was nice to have.

Great location easy access to beach and other places. Condo was dated with poor sink drainage Unit had good view except for palm trees in front of fishing pier view. Upon arrival air was set at 78 and was very warm in room. I feel the cleanliness of room was very lacking. I can deal with dated appliances etc but have a problem with lack of cleaning. If your looking for a more modern place this is not for you. However with that being said we enjoyed our stay. Would give it a 3 to 3.5 rating

Not Very Clean at All..
Location was great, nice view of the gulf. I usually don't leave a negative review however, this place really needs to be cleaned. There was hair on the bathroom floor, dirty wash cloth left in the shower, the carpet was filthy. If you walk around barefooted for about 10 minutes, the bottom of your feet will be black. Whatever the host is paying to get the place clean, he is getting ripped off. Might want to check in to that. Nice place, just needs to be cleaned.

Needs a good cleaning
Rental process was as expected but this place is so dusty and run down. The kitchen cabinets wouldn’t close, couldn’t open the cabinet under sink without opening fridge. Sofa smelled kinda funky like sweat. The ac return was covered in dust and there were dust bunnies hanging from the ceiling. Plenty of towels and the bedding was nice.

Cozy condo on the seawall
I like long reviews so I share as well. We've stayed at Casa del Mar many times. This unit was top floor corner which was awesome. Beautiful views over the pier. If you've never stayed on the seawall, just understand it can be loud but inside the unit it's pretty muffled. The unit did not have the typical beach theme and was more rustic which my husband liked. Enjoy the ocean but close the thick curtains and you feel like you could be in your own cozy home. The kitchen in these units is small but the owner has it really well stocked with all you need for making meals and a full sized fridge to hold all the food and drinks. The linens provided are plush and comfortable. The nicest surprise was the beach gear (chairs and toys) we found in the closet so you don't have to drag a whole bunch of stuff down with you. Oh, and if you have kiddos, the bunks have their own tvs which I haven't seen in other units so that was cool and would have been a big plus to me if I had smaller children. The owner was very accessible and responsive but wasn't the kind that sends you a bunch of messages during your stay. Overall, we loved the stay and the unit was great. We would stay here again and will recommend to friends.

We have been staying at Casa Del Mar for 13 years, with only the last 3 trips not being booked directly through Casa Del Mar. This was the worst experience I’ve ever had at Casa Del Mar. The moment we stepped into this condo we felt uncomfortable. The condo clearly hadn’t been truly cleaned for some time. Dust was hanging from the ceiling, the ceiling fan in the bedroom had dust caked on the blades, there were places on the walls that had smudges of I’m not sure what and really needed to be wiped down, the dishes in the cabinet had food in them (like they were never washed, just stuck back in the cabinet). However, we ignored all that and decided to have a good time as planned. That night when we got in the bed, the sheets and blankets literally smelled like sour milk! What put the icing on the cake though, was the second night when we were eating at the table and there little roaches ON the table and in the kitchen. Unfortunately, we will not be staying here again. We will choose to book directly through Casa Del Mar or choose another location.

Nice stay at the property
We had a very nice stay at this property at Casa Del Mar. It was clean and had a great view of Seawall Blvd. The only challenge was the noise that comes with being on that corner, but the noise did not bother us. We have lived in New York city and we are use to street noise, as a matter of fact, we enjoyed it. The 3rd floor gave us a nice view which we enjoyed. It had all of the things needed in both the kitchen and the bathroom.

Could’ve been better…
Property is nice, the unit I rented was dated, It could definitely use an upgrade. On the listing it shows a keurig coffee maker, there was not one. It shows there is a Bluetooth speaker available for use, there is not one. The pool water was so hot we couldn’t enjoy the pools. It is in a very busy area, so if you’re wanting peace and quiet, there won’t be any, I couldn’t even hear the sounds of the ocean till about 3 o’clock in the morning. It is a good location if you want the views of the beach and you are right across the street from the beach. There are plenty of places to eat. This unit was dirty. I was disappointed in the cleaning service. I would definitely hire new people to clean this place! Otherwise, our stay was OK.
