Bright and beachy, this upstairs duplex offers the perfect home base for your next Galveston getaway. Pack an extra swimsuit because there’s a pool in the back yard and you’re only two miles from the beach. Birdwatchers will love the easy access to the Edward and Helen Oppenheimer Bird Observatory, less than two miles away, with Galveston Island State Park just beyond. Finally, get your funnel cake and saltwater taffy fix at the Galveston Island Historic Pleasure Pier, around nine miles away.

At home, relax with some sweet tea on the balcony while the kids play in the pool below. Inside, the open, light-filled layout combines the living room, dining area, and sleek, full kitchen. The family chef will love the floating butcher-block island and stainless steel appliances, and the whole gang will love sitting down for meals together at the adjacent dining table.


After a day on the beach, bask in the cool of the central AC while the washer/dryer makes quick work of any laundry. Two TVs and free WiFi offer entertainment options, but if the weather’s nice - and it probably is - spend the evening back out on the balcony, enjoying the sea breeze. Beware of neighbor
During the stay the neighbor was threatening about temporary parking on side of road. He got into my face and was armed. Be careful.

AVOID THIS PROPERTY
do not stay here. we should be refunded for this even being allowed as an option to stay here. VRBO and Vacasa should remove this home at once. -black mold around air vents -roaches -mosquito infestation -over grown yard that had not been touched in several weeks which aided the mosquito problem. -back porch was uninhabitable - outside area was unusable. -trashy pool -stagnant water in backyard where they dug in to make the above ground pool under ground, making mosquitoes worse -only toilet paper provided was what was left on the roll -uncomfortable beds -rotten would on steps leading up to house was a safety concern. i doubt anything will be done to make this right but hopefully this keeps someone from throwing their money away like we did.

This place was absolutely horrible. First off there’s black mold around the vents in home and terrible smell throughout. Home has random uneven 1-2 inches high transitions at the doorways down the hall we kept tripping on these every time you walk through the door. The front door could be pushed open with the deadbolt locked and the wind would blow it opened if not locked. Along with the battery being dead on the lock. Luckily, we would have been able to push the door open if locked out of the home. The post shows a pool, but definitely don’t count on using it. It was so green with thick algae that you couldn’t see the top step into the pool (a swamp would have been cleaner). There was trash all over outside and grass was not cut. The furniture was cheap and stained all over. Air conditioning was unable to keep 74 degrees inside temperature on a 80 degree day outside. After checking out only hours after arriving I had to fight for any kind of refund. They wanted to “fix” the issues during the remainder of our stay. Which nothing was fixed. They offered only $75 refund on 4 nights stay!! Had to fight with vacasa to talk to the local manager that apparently has never been to this home. The manager should be ashamed of themselves for renting this out in these conditions.
