We liked it
We were in Galveston for an event at Moody Gardens and this cold unit was is a great location for us. We enjoyed the nice view of the GOM, the beach and the sea wall. Everything was clean and as pictured. We visited on somewhat of a slow weekend so the condo building did not seem very crowded (no waiting for elevators and parking was plentiful). Also it was convenient to Walmart and a few restaurants. The only glitch was some e-mail traffic I received prior to checking in that indicated I still owed more money, even though I had paid up in full when I made reservations as per Expedia routine. This was quickly cleared up with a few phone calls and everyone involved was very helpful, but it just added some stress thinking I owed even more money (these units aren't cheap). Overall though a good experience and we would definitely stay here again.

Nice Place; beware of the additional charges.
A bit of a weird experience and different from past experiences with Hotel.com. The rental company (not Hotel.com) sent me a bill before I arrived for much less than the price I had already paid Hotel.com full and in advance. But the rental company bill indicated a lot of additional charges (including trip cancellation insurance, for some reason) and other fees that needed to be paid on my part. On checkout they didn't charge me anything more, although I haven't gotten last month's credit card bill. Still have to figure out how much more I paid to Hotel. com than the rental company wanted to be paid, but they seem to pile on the fees to the basic rental, so maybe I didn't lose much, or at all. Oh, yes, there was an additional $15-per-stay parking fee at the building where the apartment was located. Seems charges just keep getting piled on. The address for the rental company was incorrect on the Hotel.com info. It seems that they had moved a number of months ago. The rental company did call to find out where I was, but by then I had found their new address (a bit west of town), with the help of some locals. Anyway, the 2 bedroom place looked directly on the Gulf, had a good view from the living room and one bedroom, and well equipped kitchen. In sum, a nice place and nice location, everyone was very nice and helpful. But the iffy rental/fees/charges situation made you wonder if someone was going to call or show up at the door asking for more money.

Very elegant condo!
Mirrored walls, 2 bathrooms and 2 bedrooms. Everything you could need was supplied, even toilet paper and paper towels! The ocean side of the condo was all glass with sliding doors. Very highly recommend it!

due to it was a last minute trip it we had to settle for a condo but it was a great choice plenty of space and the room was really nice and the bed were so comfortable and right by beach

False Description of Condo
The condo was nice. However DO NOT go by the description through Hotels.com. We did NOT get what we booked. The condo does not even offer what we paid for. No one has offered to make it right so just be warned you will not get bunk-beds or a King bed and forget pillow top anything. The TV went out multiple times and the DVR's do not work. Other than that the condo was very nice and the location was great. Just be warned you will have to go through heck to get checked in (11 blocks from the condo and only during specific times). I really think this should be considered false advertisement if you pay for something and the place does not even have it.

Made reservation with Hotels.com and the managers of the condo we stayed in was A B Sea Reservation. Jackie went above and beyond to make our stay in Galveston Great! She even unloaded our luggage for us and took it to the room! I have been going to By the Sea for 7 years now and love it there. They have a new beach across the street with a life guard stand.

Great overall
The condo was great overall. The service company was not at all. We called the day prior to ensure we would have the accommodations we needed. We had children traveling with us that were not related and wanted bunk beds for them. When we called AB Sales and Rentals, We were told that our request was noted and we'd get the bunks. We were excited until we walked in and noticed we had two queen beds and a sofa bed. We checked in late and could not change units. We were not moving six people to another unit so we just sucked it up. The beds were comfortable, the unit was clean, we had plenty of towels and dishes, and we even had a new container of coffee. I will definitely request this unit again, but only if it is my immediate family.
