Located on a quiet cul-de-sac, the home offers an oversized yard for an extra-large play area for the kids. Bask in the sun, or relax with an evening cocktail while the sun sets on the expansive balcony with gorgeous water views and ample outside seating.

Enjoy a cheerful and bright living space, furnished with comfortable and modern decor. The gourmet kitchen with granite countertops and stainless-steel appliances makes meal preparation a dream! The master bedroom boasts a private en-suite bath and a private balcony. With the beach only 150 feet away what more could you ask for? An enclosed outdoor shower, wireless internet, and storage closet with beach chairs and boogie boards makes your stay that much better.

Cancellation: Guest receives 100% (Of what was paid minus the cancellation fee) if cancellation occurs more than 90 days before arrival; Guest receives 50% (Of what was paid minus cancellation fee) if cancellation occurs more than 30 days before arrival; No refunds.

The Pirates Beach Community:

Abby's Place is located in Galveston's West End, a popular Pirates Beach Neighborhood. Pirates Beach is 5 miles West of the Seawall and 3.5 miles East of Jamaica Beach's community pool.

Jamaica Beach`s community pool is located next to the City Park on the corner of Jolly Roger Road & Bob Smith Road. Pool season and hours are typically Memorial-Labor Day weekends, Tuesday - Sunday, 10 am - 8 pm (weather permitting). Admittance is $5/person (over age 6). Guests are allowed to bring in a cooler, as long as no glass or alcohol. Please see the Jamaica Beach city homepage for pool updates concerning possible extended days and hours of operation.

Family vacay
The layout of the inside is the house was perfect. We enjoyed having 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The location to the beach was also convenient; just a block away. The entrance to the beach seem to be a bit more private, than the main one. We enjoyed our stay.

This was a nice, clean home with a well stocked kitchen The air conditioner worked great! It was a quick walk to the beach and the beach was very family oriented. We had a great time and overall good experience. I would rent this home again.

Great Family Getaway!
What a great getaway for the family! Eventhough we had a little bit of rain, nothing stopped us walking to the beach (3 mins!) and enjoying the beach! The house was the perfect size for our family to enjoy. LOVED LOVED LOVED the outdoor shower, especially after a day at the beach. quiet neighborhood too. Looking forward to coming back again soon -- this summer!

Great location!
The location is the best part. The house itself is smaller than it appears online. Also the house needs some TLC. Broken steps, uneven landing on the bottom, the foot rests on the table chairs were all coming apart, broken in half sweeping broom, dryer didn’t dry clothes. Overall it was ok but like I said the location was the best part.

Perfect View on July 4th!
I rented this home for my parents and in-laws for July 4th. They enjoyed the view from the patio! It’s a short walk to the beach. The property management leaves a starter pack which consisted of complimentary soaps, 2 rolls of toilet paper, 2 pods for the dish washer and the washing machine. The home is cheerful and bright. The family had a wonderful weekend.

Not a good stay
Disappointing. Never had a bad experience in Pirates Beach before. Would never use Coastal Waves again to book or stay at a property managed by them. NOT clean, old, outdated. Shelves and counters and literally every area you could place things on was full of dust or sticky. Light switches filthy. Tripped over top stair of outside staircase and bottom of outside staircase do to missed boards or warped. Called the office on arrival about these issues and no one called back.

This review is based on the price + ridiculous fees/cleaning fees/rules for check out: This beach house would be perfect if you bring your dogs or have messy kids. The floor tiles are broken and glued back with epoxy, the linens are not great and the toilet paper is 1 ply and the bath towels are old. We got an email from the Mgmt company listing everything that you should bring which is basically everything (beach towels/toys/basic kitchen stuff) and say you will have 1 roll of toilet paper for each bathroom to get you started. You don't find this out until the date after which you cannot cancel. We brought tons of stuff - coffee filters, paper products and they actually did have everything there (but no beach towels). You have to start laundry and clean the kitchen before you go even though you pay a cleaning fee. The location is great and if you are only sleeping there then it's probably fine...but paying > $1400 for 3 nights for this house is turning me back into a hotel person.

Last minute trip for spring break. My son was in from college and we decided to book some guides for a few days of fishing. Unfortunately the weather didn’t cooperate and we only fished one day. Therefore we spent much more time at the house than we planned. The house is in a great location and very walkable to the beach. Pirates Beach is a great neighborhood and if we were there for a week long Beach trip, I would suggest renting a golf cart to cruise around. The house itself is an older house for the neighborhood and with that comes maintenance. It appears there is some neglect going on as the landing at the bottom of the main stairs is in need of replacing. There are a number of lose boards with nails/screws sticking up. The wood underneath is rotted so they won’t tighten down. Under the house/deck there is some peeling paint and missing fascia boards, just looks neglected. As for inside, the house was relatively clean and well equipped. My wife did clean all the light rocker switches with a Clorox wipe as she said they were very dirty. The furniture is old and needs updating. The white leather couch is peeling and stained and the dining chairs all have thick planting on the cushions like grandmas house. The biggest issue and the main reason we would not rent this house again are the beds. The beds are horrendous. I actually had to look and see if I was sleeping on a box spring. That is the hardest cheapest bed I have ever tried to sleep on. A little investment in the property would make a huge difference because the location is so good. But as a renter, spending a little more gets you a lot more.

View from deck was awesome
There was 6 adults and a2 year old, sleeping arrangements were adequate. 3 bedrooms worked just great. Hurricane had caused some damage to the exterior but wasn’t anything that kept us from having a good time. The dining table had two damaged chairs that need some repair. The beds were very comfortable. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

We came to dust my husbands ashes as Galveston area was his special happy place! We needed a house that was close to beach, quiet and clean! This home was amazing, had everything that was suppose to be there! So very clean and the decor was charming and so comfortable! None of us wanted to leave! I may make one more trip before I’m to old to drive and I definitely will choose this home!

They definitely need to do some updating and repairs. Doors had a hard time working. Master room door is rusted big time. Had a hard time opening. This is the first house I've staying in that didn't have all kinds of extra stuff. As much as we pay they could definitely provide more toilet paper. There were no trash bags at all. And the master bed was so hard. Other than that the house was clean and worked fine for our beach weekend. It was in a great location.

Perfect little house that’s just a short walk to the beach. Perfect house for the right price, great view of the beach from the deck and third story deck. Great breeze flow keeps you nice and cool. Overall great stay highly recommend.

Great location and views!
We really enjoyed our stay at Abby's Paradise. Great location and awesome views from all decks. The house was clean and stocked with necessities. Communication with property manager was quick and helpful when I encountered some minor check in glitches. Bed in master bedroom was very creaky and not the most comfortable but not terrible. Would stay here again.

We had a wonderful time at this property however there are a few things that need to be fixed. The master bathroom toilet runs constantly unless you adjust handle upwards. The master bedroom mattress is awful, it was absolutely uncomfortable. Thank goodness I was very tired each night at bedtime. The location of the cabin is awesome and we enjoyed a very short walk to the beach. The cabin is very clean and had everything we needed. Overall it just needs some minor repairs and TLC.

Very clean. Very comfortable. Well stocked kitchen. Very close to the beach. Great spot for a family vacation. We stayed during covid-19 so we cooked all of our meals in the kitchen and we wiped down the door handles and counter tops when we got there, but I still thought the place was really clean. Would rent this again.
