"Great secluded hideaway in a small town. If you weren't aware that it existed, you wouldn't have a clue that I was there. It's tucked away, in between Hwy 3235 and South Bayou Drive or La. 1 as some people know it as. To get the best rates, you need to book your room in advance. If you plan on possibly staying past the nights that you originally booked, you may want to rebook it as soon as you plan on staying longer or you may be charged much higher and have to get a room that you might not be so comfortable in."

"We loved this unique home. Especially wonderful for anyone who enjoys great views, loves to fish, bird watch and stroll down the beach. Our family of 8 had a blast. Everyone was so comfortable with all the bedrooms and baths. Saw dolphins swimming close by, and even had two otters join us one night as we sat in the swing and watched the sunset. Richard, the host, was great whenever we had questions. We left happy and hope to return. "

"The house was fantastic. We had 19 people ages 12-67 and everyone had fun. From fishing and crabbing in the bay to swimming in the gulf and metal detecting the sands, the days were full. The pool table saw plenty of action. The back deck offered up terrific views with beautiful sunsets. A terrific place to stay for a large grou, my wife and I went home with wonderful memories. "

"Southern Hospitality is real. The property was great but the hosts were even better. They lived in the neighborhood and came by to fry up some fresh southern foods. Soft shell crab, catfish and shrimp as well as an authentic crab boil with crab fresh off the boat. The accomodations were excellent, juke box had all the songs we looked for, pool table was well kept. They even lent us some fishing poles and tackle, caught some crappie and bass right off the dock. There is also a nature trail right behind the property that is very well maintained and picturesque got to see some gators up close.This will be the only place I stay anytime we head down to the bayou!!"
