Food was good but our room had stuff behind the end table. The tv was not working, staff knew but didn’t tell us and when we complained, did not offer discount. For price we paid, it was a disappointment!

The room was average. They didn’t do housekeeping unless you asked for it. Only a sliver of soap for showering and when asked for more only got one more sliver. Very quiet but went during off season. Loved the fact they had a bar/restaurant attached. Pool was nice. Didn’t use shuttle service.

Room was fine. Building is dated but quaint. My wife and I stopped for a drink in the bar at the end of the day and the tab was staggering. Tourist prices.

The Inn never fails to impress. The atmosphere is relaxing and the staff is amazing. We especially enjoy the free breakfast.....especially the head guy who is so very friendly and helpful. We make the Inn our November get away every year!!

Had an odd conversation with whom I presume was the hotel manager. My husband and I were waiting for the elevator to go up to our room after checking in. The elevator was occupied by a housekeeper with 2 large carts. No big deal as we would wait for the elevator to clear. While waiting, a woman I assume was a manager (wearing a black suit) came up to us to ask if the housekeeper didn't "let us" on the elevator. I said the elevator was full but we didn't mind waiting because we'd been in the car for 3 hours and wanted to stretch our legs. The "manager" then insisted that she wanted to know which staff member to "reprimand". I said that was unnecessary and that waiting a few more minutes wasn't a big deal to us. She wouldn't let it go until I finally had to say, Do not reprimand any staff member on our behalf. If this manager was so intent on reprimanding staff in front of guests, I worry how she treats staff when guests aren't around. By the way, all the staff were pleasant and helpful. The manager? Not so much.

Lovely place to stay - we have two little kids which makes it difficult to find an affordable place where we can comfortably fit everyone. So nice to access Frank O'Dowd's without having to leave the property and as someone who studied abroad in Ireland, the food choices represented the country nicely (and even tasted better :)) than my experience abroad.
