Mary the receptionist is extremely nice but your Italian should be pretty good if you want to communicate verbally. From Formia train station its about a 10 minute ride by cab. Bring in some provisions unless you opt for the full board. There's really not a town center. Just beach and restaurant. The bungalows are sparse but clean.
