Stunning views, Space, Charm, Great Pool, Ideal Amalfi Coast location!

[Dear Traveler, please take the time to read the full description. Thanks!]

This big, beautiful villa is the ideal choice for a family or group of friends wanting a dream vacation on the Amalfi Coast. It has a special ambiance and offers a wonderfully enjoyable experience in this awesome region of Italy.

The views are vast throughout the property, the gardens are abundant with flowers and fruits, the terraces and balconies provide the quintessential indoor-outdoor experience, and the saltwater pool is big and refreshing. Our guests are enchanted upon arrival and have to tear themselves away at the end.

Maximum occupancy is 10 guests. The property works great for smaller parties, too. If you are a party smaller than 8, send us an inquiry about price.

The villa is located in the residential heart of the village of Furore, one of the beloved villages of the Coast midway between Positano and Amalfi, adjacent to Praiano and Conca dei Marini; an absolutely central and convenient location to anything you wish to see and do. The beaches and public dock of the Village of Amalfi are only a 17 minute drive away (6kms), and Positano is 30 minutes.

Access to the villa is very straightforward. Parking is nearby and there are only 40 steps to walk down to the main gate of the property.

This stately home is situated within a huge landscaped garden of abundant flowers and fruit trees, a gazebo with majolica ceramic dining table, and a big saltwater pool with surrounding deck.
To quote one of our past guests who captured the experience so well, "the villa is run in a thoughtful and personal way with many nice touches and luxuries.

The terraced gardens are a treasure trove of fruits and vegetables; lemons, plums, and pomegranates to name a few. There are stunning views in both directions over the sea and along the Coast".

There are 6 bedrooms; 4 with queen (matrimonial) bed, and 2 with French (oversize single beds). There are 5 FULL baths (either shower or tub) and 2 half-baths.

On the Main Entrance Floor you will find the gracious Living-Dining room and large, well-equipped kitchen. Floor to ceiling glass doors open onto the evocative seafront blue-tiled balcony. This balcony is furnished with a very large sun-umbrella and an ensemble of contemporary chairs, loveseats, and coffee tables to relax into and enjoy the wonderfulness of this place at any time of the day or night.

From almost any spot on the property you have a spectacular view of the sea and the marvelous coastline.

A very special feature of the property is a one-of-a-kind structure in the garden that we called "the Cottage", housing an authentic wood-fired oven, cooktop, and BBQ. It also houses a clothes washer and dryer.

Many visitors to the Amalfi Coast seek out venues to have pizza-cooking lessons. At Villa dei Signori you can have a pizza-cooking party right in your own backyard! You can do it yourself or we can send a Pizzaiolo (pizza chef) to create a party for you.

Villa dei Signori is nestled in the heart of the historic village of Furore - well-known for its friendly and hospitable residents, for its fine wine, and for its position near the Pathway of the Gods. There are country-style restaurants and fine-dining restaurants throughout all of Furore, several of them within walking distance to Villa dei Signori.

Furore offers a uniquely warm and local feeling and a glimpse into the authentic traditions of the Coast..

The gates to the property are only 40 steps from the road above (where you park). There are an additional 80 steps alongside the exterior of the villa from which you can access each floor of the building.

Parking is along the main road above the villa. When spots are available, they are free. Otherwise, there are a few parking lots nearby where one can park for a couple of hours if necessary at a reasonable cost.

Essential shops within easy walking distance including a small, but well-stocked grocery store carrying wine, local produce and prepared foods, a casual restaurant and enoteca, and a full-service coffee bar.

The village of Amalfi and several of the Coast's best beaches are less than a 17 minute drive away. In Amalfi you'll find a wonderful array of restaurants, services, and historical sites including the Cathedral and Cloister, and the ancient Papermill Museum. At the dock of Amalfi the public boats and ferries ply the waters to Positano, Capri, Sorrento, Salerno and some of the smaller villages along the Coast.

The Sita bus stops within 50 meters of the property. If you don't want to use your car all the time you can hop on the bus and be in Amalfi Village in 20 minutes. It's very convenient. We can also offer information on private transportation services if you do not plan to rent a car for your stay.

Villa dei Signori is user-friendly and safe for children. Although we stress that young children (especially under 8 yrs old) NEED TO BE very carefully watched !!

Villa dei Signori has been enchanting renters for over 15 years and has a solid track-record with many wonderful testimonials to show for it. We encourage you to read the reviews.

We want to thank you for reading all the way down! It is hard to express what a special property this is and how many guests over the years have had the best time here. It is an all-around delight!

[Please note - be sure to look at our House Rules, and read through our Terms & Conditions document in the Rental Agreement tab.]

You can trust us to provide every possible kind of information to prepare you for your arrival and also to support you with our local staff during your stay. We can't wait to welcome you to Italy's "Divine Coast"! Ciao a presto, Laurie & Staff

Best 6 days in Italy
This property is everything you’re looking for if you’re going to the Amalfi Coast. We came as a family with 8 of us in total and each of us had a separate space to call our own. Pool house, main house, top apartment, each with a/c. The kitchen was fully stoked and in fact Antoinette got groceries for us as it was a holiday the day we arrived and nothing was going to be open. Property is located just below the grocery store which was perfect. We had a pizza party night for 12 and it was the best pizza of the 4 weeks in Italy. This is highly recommended by us 12. The pool was unbelievably big, beautiful and Necessary to escape the heat. Feeling up for it you can take the stairs down to the Fjord di Furore and have a swim and come back up. (It’s about 2000 steps round trip, not for the faint of heart!) Pack your bags and book this trip with your family or friends, and get ready for the trip of a lifetime. Thanks to the hosts, can’t wait to go back

Beautiful Villa Vacation
Laurie was very helpful in providing recommendations and the local staff and businesses were very accommodating and supportive. The chef dinner and pizzaiolo that were arranged through Laurie and Antonietta were wonderful. All who were involved made the stay very comfortable and enjoyable. Having the store, pharmacy, and bar across the street was very helpful. This is a wonderful place to stay with a large group of family and/or friends.

Views!! Perfect for multiple families
Our group spent a ton of time researching places to stay on the Amalfi Coast and this home was perfect. Others have made a similar comment but the home is actually 3 separate apartments each with its own kitchen and living room. We had two families and this was perfect, everyone could have their own space. The outdoor space is amazing and large, way more than the 7 of us needed. We did have a chef come in during our stay and would highly recommend it. The town is small and everyone was extremely friendly, by the end of the week they had made us feel apart of their family from the coffee shop/bar, grocery store to the pizza place we highly recommend all of them. It was so nice to have a place to get away from the busy coast. Finally the views are amazing, just incredible. We highly recommend this home!

Perfect extended family holiday
The view and setting of the villa were stunning. Pool was large and so much fun. Really enjoyed the lovely outdoor spaces for eating and looking at the view. Having the shop and ATM and cafe right at the top of the stairs was very convenient. Would highly recommend having the in-house pizza party; delicious and fun. Wouldn’t do the in-house chef though; the food was average and store bought, not homemade. Lucas restaurant in Furore was yummy and fun. We also tried the fish only Bianca Zita restaurant. They seemed offended that the children wouldn’t eat octopus and that we wanted red wine but overall it was a fun experience. Might be an idea to get a coded gate lock; didn’t appreciate being chided that we were later than expected to get the keys when travelling in the heat on winding roads with hungry tired children. Overall an unforgettable vacation in a beautiful villa.

Amazing, tranquil hidden gem
The house was fantastic. We were a party of 7 and only used two of the three levels where the bedrooms are located on. The sleeping accommodations are very well suited for larger parties as there are three separate sleeping areas on three separate levels, offering lots of priviacy. We could easily have fit a few more people comfortably. The pool and view are the standout features of this house. The pergola with an outside dining table and the outdoor pizza oven were also great to have. We waited too long to schedule a pizzaiolo so ended up cooking our own pizzas in the oven. I would schedule the pizzaiolo if I were to do it again (200 Euros). The house is located in Furore, a quaint, very peaceful town on the cost of Amalfi almost equidistant to Amalfi and Praino. It is very laid back and a relief from the craziness of Amalfi, Positano and Capri. Just a 100 meters or so from the house up the steps are located a small but well stocked minimart and Bar Della Mola, a small bar/cafe. We had coffee there every morning and were greeted by Tonio, possibly the kindest human on earth. There are only a few restaurants in Furore, but they are of high quality. Our favorites were Melchio and Fico d"India. You can get to Amalfi in about 20-25 minutes by bus (the Sita bus is located right across from the Bar where you can purchase bus tickets from Tonino). The bus works, but you will need to be patient during high season as the busses run somewhat infrequently and don't stop if they are full. There are smaller minivans that also do a circuit for 3 Euros one way. If patience is not your strong suit, I would recommend pre-arranging rides with one of the many taxi services or Tonino. Laurie's guide was a wealth of information as was Antonietta who checked us in. I would not miss Ravello (try to get tickets to one of the outdoor concerts). Other highlights for us included: the Path of the Gods Walk (takes about 3 hours), a private cooking class at Melchio with Chef Vito and the wine tour. We rented a private boat with a captain for the day from La Sibilla (at Marina di Praia in Praiano) and had a fantastic time going to Capri and stopping several times for swims in the sea. There are hidden pathways to many places such as the beach at Fiordo di Furore (along the lower road running along the coast). It's about 20 minutes down and 35 back up (it's pretty strenuous so make sure you are up for it). We hated to leave.

Spectacular!
Everything about this property is absolutely stunning. First, every inch is immaculately clean and is proper working condition. The photos on the site are accurate but cannot capture the beauty of the villa itself nor the breathtaking views. There are three separate apartments with their own private access, each equipped with full working kitchens which include beyond basic necessities. The pool deck has a covered pergola to get out of the sun and many pool chairs and a table with chairs. The pool is exceptionally clean and big enough for lap swimming. Lying in the pool and looking out into the mountains and villages below is breathtaking. The main level has a beautiful dining room, sitting room, and terrace with outdoor kitchen and large dining table. Also on this level is a washer and dryer and clothes rack to hang dry. The windows on all levels have beautiful full length wooden blinds that function with the touch of a button and the view from every bedroom and balcony is like a postcard. The bus station is a very short walk down the street. The coffee shop sells bus tickets and a variety of other enjoyable items (pizza, coffee, pastry, etc) and the shop owner and his staff are very friendly. Next to the coffee shop is a small market that has fresh produce, beer, pantry essentials and a deli. We made a couple of trips there each day. We had 9 adults from age 19 to 83 stay here together and everybody loved it! The walk up the stairs to the street is challenging if you are not fit, but the whole region is built into a mountain so this should not be a surprise to anyone visiting this area. Overall, there are not enough stars to rate this beautiful villa. It is truly an experience not to be missed.

Almost Perfect
My family enjoyed a wonderful week at the Villa .The facilities were excellent and the views are stunning. The villa is spacious and well equipped. The property is divided into three self contained accommodation units which with a party of 10 worked very well. Much of the time we were together in the very large kitchen/dining /sitting room area and around the beautiful terrace and excellent large seawater pool. There is an incredibly well-stocked mini-market across the road from the villa which had everything we needed. We were warmly greeted on arrival by the villa manager who was extremely helpful. One word of advice for senior citizens: on arrival and departure ask the driver to assist with luggage down/up the steps leading to the villa. We found the drivers very helpful. We had a wonderful, memorable holiday. This really is a first-class villa.

Escape in Furore
We had the best time at Villa dei Signori! The space was a perfect fit for our two families to spread out. The pool and the views were amazing. We wished we had booked for two additional days instead of going back to Rome for two days before flying out of Rome. Next time we would have a driver just drive us directly to the airport. The Pizzolo chef came one night and made delicious pizzas in the outdoor pizza oven for all of us. So many wonderful spaces to hang out in and enjoy the views. The people in the town of Furore are all so friendly. A great market across the street with everything you would need to make your own meals at home. Laurie was wonderful to work with and provided us with so many documents on Amalfi Coast and local restaurants and adventures to enjoy. Normally you just show up to your VRBO rental and hope for the best, but Laurie makes sure you are 100% comfortable with your stay - tells you who to call for a ride from the train station, restaurants to book, and places to go! We advise people to arrange transportation ahead of time to take you to the different towns while you are staying there. We can't wait to go back!

Furore
Villa dei signori was everything we could have hoped for and more. From the time of booking, Laurie was a delight to work with. She was an amazing resource and really helped to make sure our vacation was all it could be. She was also essential in connecting me with a driving company that arranged almost all of our transfers which were super smooth. All of the drivers were incredibly kind and helpful. Antonietta was also wonderful and. super helpful upon arriving at the Villa. As for the villa, the view of the sea takes your breath away as soon as you descend the stairs. It was exactly the welcome I had hoped for upon arrival. Then there's the beautiful pool. We were in Italy during a heat wave so access to the pool was massive. Throughout our stay the villa was our haven. As beautiful as the neighboring cities of Amalfi (20 min bus ride) and Positano (30 minute car ride) our best times were in Furore. The first night we ate an amazing restaurant, Bianca Zita which is walkable from the villa and were treated like family. Another night a pizzaiolo, Gianluca, came to the villa and made pizzas for us using the incredible wood fire pizza oven on the premises. Amazing. On our last night a chef came and made us the best meal of the entire trip. Overall, I would recommend this villa to anyone wanting to visit the Amalfi coast, especially those with kids (ours were 10, 7, and 5). We had been planning this trip for 3 years due to the pandemic so our level of anticipation was sky high. Everything about Villa dei Signori exceeded anything we could have dreamt of.

Amazing Villa with spectacular view!
From start to finish the process was easy. Another place fell thru and we booked this in minutes! You won’t find a sweeter spot. We had four singles and three couples in this Villa for a week. Great little market to buy food supplies from and awesome restaurant at top of the road. Pharmacy and ATM nearby also and a small coffee shop that our neighbor/helper, Tony managed. The ONLY negative would be the 60 plus stairs from the top of the road to the Villa where after you enter the gate ( only 4 keys for ten people) there are tons more stairs. 120 in and out each day to our room) Arrival and departure day with all our luggage was hard. Young legs best! But that said, the pool and view were worth it. If I had a Sherpa, I would go back tomorrow.

Book it for the views!
We’re a family of five who had a wonderful two weeks at Villa dei Signori in August 2020 and can highly recommend it! The villa is in the perfect location for a holiday on the Amalfi coast: in a lovely village without the tourist madness, 20 mins outside Amalfi (bus stop outside villa), very easy reach to Praiano, Positano, Sorrento, Pompéi and Naples (we loved Amalfi and spent most evenings there!). There is a supermarket at the steps leading to the villa which had everything we needed and a great fish restaurant 3 mins, with pizza a little further on (not forgetting the local Bar de la Mola!). The villa was extremely clean, comfortable and well equipped and has a large swimming pool which our teenagers loved. But what really sets this villa apart from all the others are the views-simply unbeatable! We loved having breakfast and lunch on the terrace, watching the boats in the bay below and then lazing around the pool, which is as good as an infinity pool! Big thanks to Antonietta and Tonino for the local welcome and helping us settle in when we arrived, and another big thanks to Laurie for making this happen in the middle of Covid! We’re already planning to come back as soon as we can! Book it - you won’t be disappointed!

Lovely Villa with Stunning Views
We stayed at Villa Signori for 2 weeks in September 2017 and had a fantastic holiday in a very well appointed villa on the stunning Amalfi coast. The villa is very well set up and run in a thoughtful and personal way with many nice touches and luxuries. The terraced gardens are a treasure trove of fruits and vegetables' lemons, plums . pomegranates and figs to name a few. The pool is saltwater and very well run with stunning views both ways along the coast. The Amalfi cost is breathtaking with wonderful views , architecture, walks and sumptous food. Our only negative would have to be the driving where the narrow roads , cars, lorries and buses are OK when taken carefully but the motor scooters just completely headless and something to be very wary of. Amalfi is one of the worlds absolute treasures for an outdoor holiday!
