There were a few issues: the cabin could use a good dusting in kind of obvious spaces, host told us the cleaners hadn’t been in halfway through and that was a tad disconcerting, and I don’t think the listing mentioned how the cabin is so close to the main property. We think the privacy was still pretty good, but it would’ve been nice had that been clearer up front. Overall, a good stay. "

It’s definitely a historic cabin and may not be suitable for everyone, especially those who are taller than around 5’9”, or those with physical handicaps. For us it was perfect. The location makes it extremely convenient for day trips to surrounding towns such as Frederick, Harper's Ferry and Gettysburg. The home is comfortable and can easily accommodate a large group. "Overall good, beds very comfortable. Good amenities, adequate kitchen and entertainment center. Hot water was not working well sometimes, always recovered. Would have been nice to have the gas fireplace. Heat distribution from the regular heating system seemed to favor the bedrooms. Overall good, met our needs"
