The apartment is located in a high and quiet area of ​​Funchal, in a gated community 10 minutes' walk from the city center. This area has good access to the highway and city, with buses all the time, even at the condo door. It has a fully equipped kitchen with coffee maker, laundry room, a spacious bedroom, a bathroom, a living room and dining room (with sofa bed) with a magnificent view of Funchal and the sea. In the New Year you can watch the fireworks from the windows and the building common terrace with a privileged view of the entire bay of Funchal. Its good location provides easy access to various areas of the island and its attractions. Beautiful view in quiet location
Bruno is an excellent host. He met us at the property and gave a very thorough description of all the amenities and features of the apartment. The property is very clean. It is in a quiet residential neighborhood. There is good bus service and the stop is literally next door. Bruno is very knowledgeable about local attractions and very quick to respond to any requests for information. There is onsite parking, if you rent a car, but don't rent a large car. The view is fabulous.

First time I have been to Madeira and it is delightful. Weather was a bit mixed at first but then sunny and warm with no rain.The apartment is nice with a beautiful view, the only downside for us elderly folk was the hills in Funchal and the rest of the island.. I would recommend the apartment

Just right!
Property owner, Bruno, is very gracious and accommodating. The apartment is very comfortable. Other residents in the buildingwere very quiet. We’re happy to have easy parking right on the property. Very close to large supermarket. And even a Takeaway restaurant. No air-conditioning or central system but our weather over all 6 days was comfortable and didn’t need AC. But with the windows open, we did deal with mosquitoes because the weather has been hot and rainy right before our visit. There was one plug in insect repellent which works quite well. the breezes is passing through the house are fantastic. If we return, we would definitely rent Bruno’s apartment again.

Great apartment
The apartment is situated on the outskirts of funchal about a 20 minute downhill walk. The walk up is not recommended in the heat but once we sussed the vagaries of the bus network it was not an issue. Bruno was very helpful and even sent some recommendations of restaurants etc on whatsapp before we arrived. He arranged a taxi from the airport and met us at the apartment. Although we didn't need to contact him while we were there he made it clear he'd be available if needed. He even let us stay in the apartment on the day we were leaving as our flight was quite late so we didn't have to worry about checking out or leaving our suitcase anywhere. It was very hot while we were there and the apartment is not air conditioned. Bruno may want to think about buying a fan for the apartment but i would have no hesitation in recommending the apartment and would stay here again.

Relaxing location with great view
Bruno was a great host, accommodating our very late arrival. The apartment has a great view, and the area is quiet and safe. It’s about a 25 min walk to the downtown. The kitchen is set up for basic cooking. The parking is secure - however it can be very tricky to get into the parking spot if you have a larger vehicle when others are parked there. Overall we’d recommend this place.

Lovely apartment
A lovely apartment, very clean, well furnished and equipped. The living room has a big comfortable sofa and a great view to the harbour in the distance. As a bonus there is access to a large terrace with views to the sea and mountains and with the collapsible chairs provided we could relax in the sun with a glass of wine. Bruno is a most excellent host and was very helpful in arranging a taxi transfer from the airport with the advantage that the driver knew the apartment and called Bruno on our arrival so he was at the gate to the apartment to greet us. Bruno explained how everything worked and provided a most warm welcome. We found it easy to contact Bruno via WhatsApp before arriving and during our stay. We walked into town and occasionally enjoyed a coffee or orange juice at the café in the garden of the Museu da Quinta das Cruzes about half way down. The museum’s garden is very pleasant and has good views. We usually took a bus back using Google maps Go feature to show us the route, the nearest bus stop, the bus number and scheduled time. Being able to track our position along the bus route made it easy to know when to press the stop button and navigate back to the apartment. We had good lunches/meals at Restaurante dos Combatentes (corner of municipal gardens), Barreirinha Bar Café (good sea view, east of yellow fort), Museu da Quinta das Cruzes café, Restaurante Brasa (in a peaceful square) and others!

Pleasant stay
The flat was very clean and comfortable and a great base for exploring Funchal and around. 20 min stroll downhill to the city centre, plenty of buses back up the hill.

Great apartment with parking spot!
Very nice apartment is new new remodeled, bathroom and shower. Comfortable with that much and full-size fridge and a washing machine! We parked are car in the underground parking spot and mostly used the convenient bus for Funchal, but we drove to Pico do Aierio to hike. Very convenient place with great hosts.

We loved it!!
We are so grateful and happy for this appartement! It was so wonderful and clean! The location was exactly what we like - close to the center but still in a quiet and lovely place. Also the view is amazing and gives so much more for the whole experience! The appartement is fully equipped with everything you need. Also the garage option is such an advantage! But in case you don’t use a car - you have bus stops right next to the building! We personally used it during the whole stay. The host was absolutely wonderful with us. Even though we arrived a bit late he was waiting for us with a smile and also gave us so much advices and good reccomendations. Also it was so great to be greeted by somebody so positive, he assured us we can contact him for everything at it was the best start of our vacation! I am very happy we chose this appartement, we will return back!

Madeira is Wonderful
The apartment was clean and comfortable. Bruno was very helpful and exceeded expectations when he mailed a package of forgotten items back to me. Thank you so much. I think the apartment is best suited for people who are fit and can walk easily as it is uphill. There is, however, a bus stop at the front of the house, but there can be gaps. Thanks for the experience.

Stunning views!
The apartment is stylish, roomy and very comfortable, more like a home than holiday accommodation. Location is quiet and there are wonderful views, however this comes at the price of being at the top of a VERY steep hill, but there is a bus stop outside the apartment. Bruno was friendly and efficient to deal with and arranged excellent cost effective airport transfer.

The flat-no bath mat-essential as very dangerous getting in and out of bath as no grab handle .No balcony but communal terrace on second floor. Road-extremely dangerous a major thoroughfare to Funchal. Twenty minute plus walk to Funchal- no pavement in places so felt extremely vulnerable walking up and down to flat. Fabulous view and secure off-road parking
Just spent 9 nights at this lovely apartment and enjoyed every minute. Bruno was very welcoming and the apartment had everything you could need. As we had a hire car, the secure off-road parking was really useful as the roads around Funchal are very narrow and parking is limited. The view was amazing, although there is no outdoor space (made clear when you book it), and the location is a good way out of the town, making a car essential. We did walk into town a couple of times (about 20 minutes downhill), but be prepared for a real slog back up the hill on the way home! There was a bus stop outside the apartment, but having a car we never needed to work out the logistics of using the bus, and there is a large supermarket easily accessible in 5 minutes by car. Overall, this was a great apartment on a lovely island. Thank you Bruno!

Perfect location on top of the city
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this well appointed one bedroom apt in a quiet neighbourhood with the stunning view of the city below. The 2.5 km trip to the city is a good warm-up activity for active people, especially at the end of day, or only a bus ride from city. Bruno was very attentive, arranging taxi pick up when we arrived, provided a thorough orientation to apt ( including safety around gas stove) & city ( including tourist info in apt), promptly answering questions during our stay as well as driving us to car rental service later in the week. The facilities were as described online, including comfortable bed and kitchen with necessary cooking items. A minor suggestion is to provide some pot holders or oven gloves for safety removing hot pots from top of stove/oven. We were nervous using t-towels for this around the open gas flame. Thank you Bruno and Fatima for sharing your beautiful apt with us. We loved your island and will brag of our stay with friends and hope to return in the future. We highly recommend these accomodations
