Great apartment, friendly contact
Everything was a good fit. The location of the apartment was just right for us. Directly at the promenade, with ample shopping opportunities and in walking distance to Funchal center. The bus stop was directly at the building. The apartment itself was spacious as advertised. We had a very easy time with 5 people and enjoyed the big living room. Contact with the owner was a breeze. If we had a question or request, everything went smoothly. Absolutely recommended!

Enjoy Madeira
Had a great time in Madeira. The condo had everything we needed. Cleaners came every two weeks. Location was great, close to shopping, promenade and restaurants. View of sunsets over the ocean were fantastic.

Very nice flat
The flat is very spacious. The kitchen is well equipped. 2 complete bathrooms with showers. 3 bedrooms (2 double beds, 2 single beds) with television. 2 spacious balconies. Sea view with evening sun. I would book the flat again.

Amazing place and great location
We came here for a family vacation. The flat was amazing, clean and in a great location with wonderful views. There was nearby access to the ocean, supermarkets, coffee shops and restaurants. Also, easy access to coastal walking and downtown. We would definitely stay here again the next time in Madeira. Also, Nelson was very helpful, and even helped us with a car battery issue.

Perfect location
The apartment was spacious and located in the same building complex with shops and restaurants. It was also right at the bus stops connecting directly to the center of Funchal as a well as to the airport. There was also a designated parking spot in the underground parking for the rented car. We all had wonderul time.

Lovely apartment
The apartment was as described, nice and spacious with a good view of the sea. Location is great in terms of convenience, very close to shops and the local beach. Communication with the owner was good, our kettle turned out to be broken and we messaged them and they brought a new one same day. We had a problem checking in only because the contact number was not working for us, in the end we found it worked if you added 003 at the start of the number, this may have been in the information sent to us but we couldn't find it at the time. Once the call went through they came over very quickly to let us in. Unfortunately one thing that disturbed our stay was that the upstairs neighbours are loud, they get up early (5am) and have the TV on late, chairs scrape on their floors, this would be fine except for you can hear everything coming through the ceiling. The road noise is also loud if you are in the bedrooms that are next to the road. For this reason if you are noise sensitive or a light sleeper I would recommend bringing earplugs. This is not the hosts fault, we just found it a bit noisy for us personally. Other than that, a lovely stay in a nice apartment with helpful hosts.

Excellent place to stay, I could look at the view forever!
Joe & his brother Nelson are excellent hosts. The apartment is roomy and a perfect place for me, my brother and sister, each with our own bedroom (I got the ensuite!). The kitchen is well equipped and balconies on either side provided shade and sun (weather permitting) as required. Excellent transport links into Funchal via the bus stop right outside, and the shopping area in the centre has a supermarket ideal for most items when we don't want to make the 10 minute hike up to the Forum where there is a large supermarket. Varied restaurants within a 2 minute walk are ideal to suit any palate. All in all a perfect location for a Xmas / New Year break. Wish we could stay longer!

Superb Location
Spacious apartment 100 yards from the sea. Quiet location . Balcony with lovely view over the water and stunning sunsets spring to autumn. Fine selection of bars and restaurants on your doorstop . The Forum shopping centre is a 5 minute walk. The bus at the front door takes you into the centre of Funchal in 15 minutes or you can take a lovely walk along the bay in 45 minutes. Since finding this apartment in April 2016 we have been back 7 times. That says it all .

Superb
Property in a lovely quiet location away from the bustle of Funchal centre. Views from the apartment particularly at sunset spectacular. Lovely walk along the promenade into town 45mins. Bus leaves every 20 mins from in front of the apartment . Journey time to Funchal centre 15 mins. Supermarket and some fine resturants minutes from the apartment. Apartment bright and spacious. Joe and Nelson very helpful with any queries that arose. The fact that we have already booked a further week in December says it all.

Best Location and, great apartment
Apartment was in great location, Mall, supermarket,restuarants, views, sunset views, natural pools. Had to let owner know to raise the hotel waster Temp. because it was just luke warm. Big issue was the stench of urin in master bedroom and one other bedroom. The prior guests must have pee in bed. If that is fixed we would stay again for sure. Use the hello bus and not the Red bus if you going to do Funchel tour. More busses and come right to Apartment

Well worth a stay
The apartment was clean and very spacious. plenty of room for myself, my wife and our two adult children and their partners. Easy access to Funchal by bus The No 2 stops right outside and is less than 10 minutes to the center of Funchal. The yellow hop on hop off bus also stops right outside the apartment. The apartment is on the 4tf floor with a lovely sea view and mountain view and has two lifts that work as they should. There is also a parking space in the basement and plenty of parking outside. Its only 5 minutes walk to the forum shopping centre, and also a short walking distance to nice restaurants. The reason I gave communication 4 out of 5 stars, is because I sent a text message saying we needed teaspoons and never got a reply, the next morning I purchased some spoons and when I returned to the apartment there was a bag with spoons tied to the door. If I got a reply I wouldn't have purchased more. other than that, I think the apartment was fantastic and I can highly recommend staying there. On a final note, It was excellent value for money.

Excellent location, near all facilities
Met by owner's brother who was very helpful. Property exactly as described, in excellent condition with lovely view from balcony. Property was well-maintained overall. Clean and comfortable - beds very comfortable (an essential for a holiday property). Well equipped throughout but would have liked a coffee maker or kettle and teapot provided as most tourists, I imagine, would put these to good use. We ended up buying a kettle ourselves! The local amenities were all very close including access to the nearby supermarket, Madeira Forum Shopping Centre, bus stop, excellent choice of restaurants, local swimming (which was really good and a very reasonable price). This was our third visit to Madeira and this was the best area and accommodation we stayed in. Recommendations for improvement: The addition of instruction booklets for TV, DVD player, washing machine, cooker, safe, etc. would be of great benefit. Additionally, having a guestbook for recommendations for restaurants and other attractions would be really useful along with some local brochures and tourist information. The showerhead attachment in the main bathroom could not be fixed to the wall! Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this property for a family holiday.

ALL is GREAT: location, apartment, view, owners
We stayed for 2.5 months, two families with kids. The apartment location is perfect: it is right on the great ocean promenade that stretches towards the center of Funchal. This is perfect for walks with baby buggy. And it is easy to get in and out via the ground floor parking (owners provide the key) and the apartment complex has two good elevators in each block. There is also a supermarket and several restaurants right in the apartment complex. If you need more - large Forum shopping center as well as banks, car rental, various shops is just 5 minutes up the street. There is also the bus stop right near the building, and another one on Estrada Monumental street (near Forum shopping center) with buses to the city center (10 mins), other locations of Funchal and to the airport (airport bus stops there). So great promenade to the left, stairs to the pools and underground passage to Formosa beach to the right when you leave the apartment. Or you can use the elevator and exit to the internal yard and then enter the supermarket and restaurants right form there. Apartment is really spacious and clean, equipped with all you need. Wireless Internet, TV, local phone - all is in place. Kitchen, bathrooms, furniture - all are in very good condition. The greatest feature is that living room and one bedroom is connected to the large balcony with ocean, beach and mountain views - absolutely million dollar view! Another rooms and kitchen also have large balcony with the view to the city and ocean, it is lit with sun during the morning and noon. Joe and Nelson provided everything to make our stay comfortable and easy. From the initial contact, email communications and payment. Also, we requested a few additional items like a crib and high chair for kinds and owners have found them and provided for us - we are very thankful for their care and hospitality. We really would like to return next year!
