"Staff are polite and understanding"

"The hotel is right opposite the Amanohashidate station. The room was great and all should try the onsen. Staff speaks limited English but they are still very helpful and polite. The buffet breakfast is wonderful. Check out the spread of Japanese seafood items and the fish miso soup. Do plan for your dinner as many shops are closed after 5pm."

"Rooms are mostly on the second level. Not so appropriate for those who have problem climbing."

"The property is at a very convenient location where we can easily walk to the department store and super market across the street. The condition of the hotel is very new, and they provide a microwave and free tea and coffee at the community area for everyone to use."

"We did not opt for the meal package so it’s possible we missed out on an amazing experience there but we did not miss out on the top level experience of the Kitanoya. Full Japanese ryokan room with the most luxurious 2 person open air granite ofuro I have ever seen let alone enjoyed with a delightful garden beyond. We chose this place to unwind from the crowds of Kyoto and we could not have made a better choice. Service was impecable. Can I give it a 6? "really good facility, close to the water front which i love and in between several areas of interest that you can walk to. The showers and baths were an added bonus as we didnt know that it would include the hot bath, really good to come back to that after a long day. Staff was super friendly and there was a music venue right next door, although we had other things we wanted to do so we weren't able to go. The only issue we had was the pillows are a lot stiffer than what we're used to so it was a little uncomfortable at first, other than that, it was a really pleasant experience. "

"Goodness us…. PLEASE treat yourself and stay at least one night in this beautiful traditional hotel with its own onsen! We had a superbly decorated very very very large traditional room (tatamis), a view of the little port and the sea of Japan with sunset…. And we discovered once there that one could book their private onsen! Oh and yes, it’s ‘only’ a 100 years old family hotel…. Don’t forget to check their ‘souvenirs table’ of locally or Japan made goodies to take home. The friendliness and discretion of the front desk people is exemplary. This was part of the highlight of our holidays in Japan. Thank you so much for offering such a beautiful hotel to us visiting tourists. We wish you only the best for years to come! "
