"This place was so beautiful, clean, and comfortable. It had all we needed. Excellent water pressure in the shower! Plenty of heat. Private and cosy. Pets welcome, they even have dog food and water bowls ready and waiting. Creek Cottage was right next to Stringer Creek and you could hear the water running by in the creek, it was so gentle and soothing. And the local native bird life was amazing! So many gorgeous birds coming into the fenced-in yard and even onto the veranda! Including King Parrots, Rosellas, Currawongs, Kookaburras, Superb Fairy-wrens and some others I could not identify. Walhalla is a welcoming, friendly town that has a long and proud history. The locals work hard to preserve and share that history. There is plenty to see and do. The Witchery Cafe is a marvellous place to eat! Take the train ride, tour the mine, and if you come on weekends, the Cemetery Tour is a must! I love the old bank as well. If you like to hike or if you'd rather sit at the park and enjoy the fresh air, you will enjoy Walhalla. It has a positive and powerful energy."
