"Charming hosts. Best to have some words of Italian or at least functioning Google Translate for your visit; Elena also speaks French which was helpful! Old-fashioned and pleasant stone rooms at a good price, lovely views and ability to have breakfast/lunch/dinner on the premises, very good local cuisine. Ideally you would come with your own car as exploring locally by foot is not really an option, too remote. But in a car, great!"

Es war sauber in den Zimmern, jedoch wurde der bereits zu Beginn dagewesene Vogelkot vor den Zimmern, während unseres viertägigen Aufenthalts, nicht entfernt. Die Besitzer sind sehr bemüht. "We had higher expectations - and I don’t mean luxury. This is a very basic property, lacking many amenities you’d expect in a 3* star rated property (e.g. tea making facilities in the room) and maintained with little attention to detail. "This is a great place for a couple of relaxing days just north of Marsala and very close to the salt flats and the Isole dello Stagnone di Marsala. The room was large with an attached salon and an almost "roman" bathroom. Lovely! The villa has a large garden, and breakfast is served under a pergola of a separate structure. Breakfast items are varied and plentiful. I really liked the place and the proprietors were very pleasant. Should I be back in the area, I'd stay there again."

"We were delighted with our choice of Marina Di Petrolo. The hotel is bright, smart and very clean. Our family room for my wife, daughter and I was a very good size, nicely decorated and smart. The staff were so nice and friendly at all times, and were always willing to help. We were grateful for the wonderful room cleaning staff who tidied and cleaned our rooms every day. There was an excellent Italian breakfast option every day, including freshly-made coffee of your choice. The location is not completely central but all the main areas of the town are easily accessible by foot, which is better to do anyway! Nevertheless there's a spectacular view of the bay from both the breakfast room and our own room. We didn't use the swimming pool because it was winter, but it looked nice. It would have been nice to have had the option to have meals other than breakfast, but it wasn't difficult to find other places around town (including a terrific pizza delivery place directly opposite!). We would love to come back to Sicily and if we are in this part of the island, Marina di Petrolo will be a definite place to revisit."
