"We were unsure about this hotel being it was older, but once we arrived, we knew we were in for a great time. We were greeted by what seemed like the whole staff as we entered and the service and attention never ceased the entire trip. The included breakfast and dinner buffet were incredible as were the onsen facilities. We will definitely be returning to this hotel in the future and will be sure to let all our friends and family know about this place as well."

"Location to Fukishima station, and surrounding areas all very walkable."

"The spa is quite far out but has accessable buses from Sendai Station. The onzen was wonderful and clean. Staff was very friendly and spoke english. Only word of caution is unless you eat at the hotel, dinner options are limited and youd have to walk into town. Still a wondeful experience and would definitely stay again if we are in the Miyagi area. "

"The Hotel has a amazing history of how long it been around since 19 century. The staff were amazing with theirs hospitality as well explanation on the ways that the Hotel is setup and how to get around the Hotel."

"This is our second stay at this hotel. It has fantastic onsens, great Japanese buffet, and the rooms are large and comfortable. Kinu-Tateiwa Otsuribashi, a famous suspension bridge, is right behind the hotel that leads to great sceneries. Hotel is approximately 12 min walk to Kinugawaonsen Station, and offers shuttle bus in the morning to the station by request. Next time we visit Nikko, we definitely go to this hotel again! "
