True to 1800s history and architecture, the Gunter Hotel is easily a place that will transport you back in time. Visited during the cold season and the hotel and especially the room remained toasty.

The Hotel Gunter is a very charming hotel, with beautiful lobby area and unique details in the halls, etc. The hotel restaurant and basement speakeasy are both very good, the staff is helpful, and there are interesting historic features and displays. It needs a bit of TLC in the guest rooms, but they are still quite comfortable, fairly spacious, a good value. Located in a walkable downtown, with free parking behind the hotel.

Such a charming historical building!! Lots of great areas to explore, huge exterior porches to relax with a glass of wine, the restaurant is TOP NOTCH!! The food, drinks, atmosphere far exceeded our expectations. There was live music, and we had a fabulous time!!! Will definitely return.
