Located in the heart of the quintessential and beautiful village of Beckington, this historic house sleeps 6. Spacious and fully equipped, it is a great place for exploring the local area, including Bath, Frome and Longleat.
The Space:
Upon entering this characterful listed house you arrive into the entrance hall. The first room on your right is the living room. The spacious living room has comfortable seating and a gas 'wood burner'.
Next to the living room is the dining room. The dining room has a large table that seats six, a TV and real wood burner.
From the dining room you walk into the country cottage kitchen. Fully equipped with dishwasher, over, induction stove, Nespresso coffee machine and single fridge.
The utility room leads off of the kitchen where you will find the washing machine, tumble dryer, freezer and microwave.
The second bathroom is located in the corner of the utility room and comprises of a sink, w.c and walk in shower.
A separate door leads from the kitchen to the garden and parking area where you can park on large car or two small cars.
From the hallway you can climb the stairs to the first floor. At the top of the stairs is a large bathroom, with a beautiful pool top bath, large sink, w.c and walk in shower.
Along the landing you will find two bedrooms. The first on your left has a king size bed (which can convert into two singles on request), a wardrobe and chest of drawers.
The second bedroom is the largest and is at the front of the house and has a comfortable king sized, wardrobe, chest of drawers and ornamental fireplace.
By the bedrooms there is a door that takes you up some stairs to the second floor where there is a further bedroom with two single beds and a chest of drawers.
This beautiful property is an old listed house in the very pretty village of Beckington. For those interested in architecture there is a Norman church in the village and some very interesting houses. There are two
pubs nearby and a coffee shop called Mes Amis which makes delicious cakes and homemade lunches. Outside the village is a very good farm shop White Row Farm.
Beckington village is just seven miles from Longleat House and Safari Park and Stourhead house and gardens.
The Georgian city of Bath is ten miles away and can be reached by a regular bus service from just outside the house if you would prefer to leave the car behind. Bradford on Avon is twelve miles and well worth a visit. Popular Frome is just three miles away and is well known for its monthly independent market and independent shops and again can be reached by regular bus service.
The cathedral town of Wells is within easy reach also the Cheddar Gorge and Wookey Hole caves. Exmoor is also near enough for a days outing.
Not to mention the lovely local villages and dog walking in the area.
Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the entire property for the duration of their stay.

Dogs are welcome at the property by request. Please contact us prior to booking. A fee of £35 per dog will be charged separately, after booking.
There is off street parking available at the back of the house. This space is for two small cars or one large car. There is plenty of on street parking for any further cars in this quiet and safe village.
