Luxury Converted Mill With Private Pool. Sleeps 7

Converted mill with private pool. Beautifully furnished and fully equipped. Private walled garden. Located in the hamlet of La Molineta near the white village of Frigiliana. A spacious and luxurious house decorated with hand made tiles and original artwork.
The house is on two floors. On the ground floor there is a lounge with wood burning stove, a separate dining room and luxury kitchen. There is also a laundry room with washing machine. Double doors lead from the lounge to the dining terrace with pergola and built in BBQ. Off a half landing is a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with it´s own access direct to the garden.

On the upper floor is a large twin bedroom, a double bedroom with air conditioning and a dressing room with a single bed, ideal for a young child. There is also on this floor a family bathroom and roof terrace with fantastic views. From the dining terrace 2 steps lead to the tiled sun terrace and then on to the pool terrace surrounded by superb planting and completely walled and private. The pool is 8m. x 4m.
Cleaning
we have been using the same local team of cleaners for more than 20 years with consistently superb results.
The house is cleaned thoroughly for each new arrival and then weekly if you stay longer.
All towels, beach towels and linear sent out to a professional laundry where they are washed at high temperatures and with products that kill 100% of germs and bacteria.
All linen is changed for each stay and then weekly.
All floors and surfaces are sanitised with bleach twice a week.
Hand soap is provided in each bathroom and as a touch of luxury we provide Molton Brown shower gel in each bathroom.
The house has a bottle of hand sanitiser on arrival.

We live nearby so can provide foe anything else you need during your stay with us.

Beautiful Frigliana
This pretty old villa is ideally located on the main road between beautiful Frigiliana and bustle Nerja. Ideally located within up hill walking distance to romantic Frigiliana which hosts many lovely restaurants, or an easy 10 min downhill bus ride to Nerja. Having the little bar close by was also very convenient. A spacious clean villa and beautiful garden and pool. Stephen was a great host.

Fantastic place to stay would highly recommend
We loved staying at this villa, beautiful gardens, pool is just right for plunging into, really private, great terrace with outside dining and bbq we spent most of our time here and walked into Frigiliana too almost every day, or did a short drive to Nerja. The area and location is spot on. Inside is traditional Spanish comfortable lounge and kitchen adequate. Air con was only in the master bedroom but Stephen was great and sourced a few more fans as it was very hot weather! Just watch where you park as our brothers car was towed away! Thanks for a great stay!

Absolutely Charming Villa
Fabulous traditional style Villa that had been renovated with thought and love. Fell more in love with it the longer we stayed! Rooms are spacious and cool, enough room for several people. It has been eclectically furnished over the years and the quirks just endear you more to it. It's almost as if time has stood still, allowing you to breathe and chill. The secluded garden, terraces and pool are exceptional, and over the years the planting has matured to make it quite magical. To the right on the second terrace you can just glimpse the sea, a beautiful mountain view is straight ahead, and to the left is a wall, as high as the villa of the most spectacular bougainvillea. The pool was the warmest I have ever used, kept sparkly clean by the lovely pool man. The Villa was spotlessly clean, and I am quite fussy. The nearby bar was perfect for a quick catch up with neighbours and not noisy at night. We had the pleasure of meeting Stephen, a true gentleman, and could have talked for hours! A few tips! The bus to Nerja/Frigiliana stops by and opposite the yellow bin just past the bar. The dogs know how to cross the road, so please dont worry! The rustling in the undergrowth just across the road are boar! The tv is easily rebooted. Power off and on router, then remove the grey cable at the back of the shiny black box and re-insert. The tv automatically re-sets. It is set to English tv, can be adjusted in settings for several other countries.

Fabulous House!
We had a lovely stay, three friends in a wonderful house with quirky interior and very comfortable. Perfect place to look around the area and enjoy the beach and the culture and returning to lounge around the pool with drinks in a relaxing environment. Stephen the host could not have been more helpful and flexible which was very refreshing. Great break and highly recommended.

Delightful house and garden, and Stephen is a most genial and helpful host. The only improvements would be a new gas hob, as two rings now not working properly, and more glasses and mugs. Stephen generously gave us some cash to buy more mugs when we ran short! A few more replacement lightbulbs would also be ideal. But again, lovely place and superb host. Will want to come back again!

This is a really lovely house, with an individual and colourful style. The garden is private and very pretty, and the small pool was great for a young family. We liked being able to walk from the door on footpaths and up to Frigliana. Stephen was a helpful and accessible host.

Exceptional Stay!
We had the pleasure of staying here for 5 nights and the home is exactly as you see it. Plenty of rustic charm and beautiful gardens and pool. The key for us was the location, with Frigiliana close and by far the nicest village of all in the area for waking and some very good restaurants. We stayed mainly close to this area and Nerja, with a day trip to Marabella. Any questions are answered by Stephen virtually immediately.

We absolutely loved spending a warm Easter at La Molineta! The 20-ish minute walk into the middle of Frigiliana was charming and not too far, and the beautiful garden terraces completely sold it for us; we really enjoyed just relaxing under the olive, orange and cypress trees round the pool. Stephen was extremely helpful and available to ensure all was well. All-round it was a fantastic and very happy stay and we’d love to come back!

Historical mountain villa with beautiful views and backyard oasis!
We had a great stay at La Panificadora, La Molineta. We were here for three weeks and found it to be a very comfortable home and a great base to explore the coastal area. We were here during the brutal summer heat wave, and although there is no air conditioning throughout the home (except in one of the bedrooms) - the beautiful garden backyard was our oasis during the day and early evenings once we returned from exploring. We also found that the evening mountain air cooled the home for comfortable sleeping. The home is part of a historical neighborhood built into the mountain, it is located just off the main road from Nerja (beach town) to Frigiliana (white town), and there is a walking path located just north of La Molineta to walk into Frigilina which took about 10 minutes. We loved walking up for dinner and exploring the town. And Nerja was only 10- 12 min by car to the beach. There is also a bar right across from the home where neighbors and hikers stop in for refreshments. There is so much to do in the area: the Cueva de Nerja, the beaches of Nerja (esp. Burriana), La Herradura beach and kayaking, Torrox, etc, the picturesque mountain towns, and you're only about an hour from Granada (for a great day trip). We thoroughly enjoyed this home and the area and plan to be back many times.

An oasis of relaxation on the outskirts of Frigiliana!
As soon as you enter the property, you know that you have arrived at a place that will allow you to relax and experience the whole Spanish experience. The villa flows so nicely! The light, the space, the decor, the nooks for good conversation, the pool and its surroundings all lend to a rich, fun and quietly engaging time away from the rush of daily living. The rooms are spacious and well laid out throughout the house. It is ideally suited to two couples, one with maybe a small child and two single persons. The bathrooms were big, with wonderful water pressure and light. The outdoor space was an extension of the mood of the inside - comfortable, clean, well-maintained and inviting. The pool was a perfect size for family fun without taking over the garden. We explored Frigiliana, Nerja, Competa, Torrox and even went to Granada to visit Alhambra (within 1h30mns' drive) as well as Malaga, of course. All places well worth visiting. The nightlife in Frigiliana is most active, as is Nerja's. The biggest plus for us was the attentiveness of the landlord, Stephen. He gets a gold star! He truly wanted us to enjoy our stay and nothing was too much for him. You will not regret your stay at this oasis of relaxation on the outskirts of Frigiliana. We would return, for sure!

Perfect hideaway
We had a wonderful time here. The house is gorgeous and the pool area was perfect for us to lounge around most days. The nearby beaches were lovely, although our 5 year old was so happy to stay in the pool all day, that’s what we mainly did! A day trip to Granada and the Alhambra was lovely so there is plenty to do if you want to be more active. It was baking hot so the extra fans inside were a god send, as was the air con in the main bedroom. Stephen was the perfect host, only there if we needed him but straight on the case when we did. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Beautiful home, but a few issues
We stayed for 17 days in November. Family of 4, enjoying southern Spain. First the positives: -architecturally interesting home; beautifully decorated. -plenty of space for our family of 4. six would have fit easily. -kitchen is usable, but appliances are not the best. well stocked with utensils, but absolutely no food. not even salt or pepper. -back patio and pool are quiet and lovely. -easy walk to Fragiliana. -organic vegetable stand close by (down at the traffic circle on the way to Nerja) -walking trails are close. -house cleaner comes twice per week. This is great! Negatives: -Disregard previous reviews. You will hear noise from the road. This is a busy road, and it is steps from the front door. Fortunately there is less noise in the master bedroom due to the lack of windows. -Electricity is very challenging. You cannot run two appliances at the same time. If you want to do the wash, then turn off the oven. Want to run a space heater? Then turn off everything else. -There is no dryer. There's a large rack for air drying. Fortunately the climate is dry. All in all, it's a nice property. If we were returning to Frigiliana, we would consider staying here again.

Love this property that oozes character. It also commands a great position in La Molineta. Great for a family holiday with plenty of space for individuals to seek out quiet places to read, a beautiful garden and pool area and nice terrace to enjoy views or watch life passing by. We were returners although haven’t been back for 11 years, wont be leaving it so long next time.

A corner of Paradise in Andalucía
This charming house is the perfect base for exploring and enjoying the many marvels Andalucía has to offer. Once you arrive you already feel the history and culture of this fascinating region with the lovely architecture and attention to detail in every corner. The garden is beautiful and the pool is the perfect spot after a day exploring Granada, Córdoba, Málaga, Ronda... Frigiliana, one of the most lovely ‘pueblo blanco’, is just a 5 minute drive away. Stephen was the perfect host welcoming us with a delicious bottle of local wine and helping me pick up and install the cots I had bought for my identical twin grandkids. We had a memorable stay and hope to go back some day!

Ideal place in the sun
We enjoyed our stay immensely at Stephen's property. Great space both inside and out. The house has great character throughout yet provided all modern conveniences. Ideal location for visiting the nearby village of Frigiliana and Nerja. Added bonus of a bar/restaurant virtually on the doorstep.Would not hesitate in recommending this accommodation to others. The mill is beautiful, spacious and quirky with plenty of space for our party of 6 adults and one baby. We could spread out and have our own space when we needed it but there are lovely communal areas both inside and out where we shared many splendid feasts. A well equipped kitchen and more importantly a huge fridge were well used as one of our party was a great chef, but we were disappointed that the restaurant next door wasn't open during our stay. Visit the Nerja caves, walk up into Frigiliana and along the river bed into Nerja. Good bus service into both which stopped outside the villa. Thank you to Stephen for a lovely stay.

Unique property offering space and charm in a stunning setting
La Panificadora is a tribute to its owner, Stephen Todd, an architect who restored the old mill with sympathy and style. Set in the hills above Nerja at the southern entrance to Frigiliana, this place oozes atmosphere. We were five in number and generously accommodated in a property that offers impressive communal space as well as large bedrooms. The outside area is beautifully shaped and crafted, with the pool set back on an elevated terrace offering welcome shade. We had intended to explore the area to a greater degree, but this is a hard place to leave. Nerja is an easy five-minute spin in the car, and Frigiliana just a couple of minutes away or 20-minutes on foot. More than anything there is a real sense of old Andalucia preserved in the house, which is impossible to recreate in more traditional holiday lets. Though the house sits back from the main road between Nerja and Frigiliana traffic is not heavy and, though cars can be heard, what noise there was did not disturb our stay. At the back of the house around the patio and pool you could be deep in the surrounding hills. Highlights included a walk into Frigliana following the course of the river bed that traces a route behind the house; a tour of the caves in Nerja; golf at Braviara; a trip to Malaga (40 mins, if that) to explore the old town, waterfront, and CF Malaga (football, 1-2 v Almeria); Maro beach (kayaks a must). We ate good food out and cooked up a storm on the barbecue. The weather clubbed us with an early September storm that raged for two days, which just goes to show, you can't have everything, even in paradise.

Lovely property with plenty of character
Stayed there with near enough 7 adults and we all loved it. Especially loved the view from the kitchen window. Everyone enjoyed the pool, even at night in the dark. The area is stunning, would recommend to anyone.

Lovely pool and garden with barbecue.
It was not really clear that aircon was only in one room. The owner was very responsive and bought us an extra fan when we asked. No plug socket in the lower bedroom meant that we had no means of cooling at all. Tv setup was good with access to online content. Parking was rather tight as the restaurant customers also shared it. The fridge was enormous and a short car ride took us to Lidl and other foodstores. The oven and microwave worked fine but we could have wished for a fluffier set of towels as they had a lot of pool use. Overall it was great and we had a good time staying there.
