Villa Frigiliana 022 Andalucía

The center of Frigiliana at 100 meters!

If you’re looking for a location where you have a wide array of tapas bars, restaurants and shops at hand reach from your villa, then this must be your choice. Yet, you will enjoy the quiet ambience of a countryside property and the wonderful views over the impressive gorge of the Higueron river. Inside the villa is spacious, simple and comfortable.



Loction and outside area

The villa is located along the Camino Boticario street, at just 2 minutes’ walk from the well-known Restaurant Virtudes, yet set away from the bustling whitewashed streets of Frigiliana. Here you can perfectly do without a car, since bus stop and taxis are just 150 meter away from the house and will bring you easily to the lovely beaches of Nerja or the many museums in Malaga. From the villa, you can also make lovely hikes through the riverbed of the nearby Rio Higueron or drop in to the countryside west of Frigiliana.

The outside area of the villa includes a spacious sun terrace and a private L-shaped pool (7.5m x 7.5m x 4m; 0.8m – 2.20m deep) to include a separate area for children at the shallow end. Sun loungers are provided. Another terrace, complete with patio furniture and umbrella, is located on a high level and accessible from the living room – it’s the perfect place to have your alfresco diner and enjoy the splendid views over the surrounding countryside. The built-in barbecue area is located next to pool.



Inside and layout

The villa offers comfortable furnishings, although it would benefit of ansince it’s a bit outdated at some points. The villa has the rooms divided over three levels.



GROUND FLOOR (STREET LEVEL)

On the ground floor your will find a spacious living room provided with 2 sofas, a coffee table and satellite TV. The separate dining room is conveniently located adjacent to the kitchen and provided with a dining table, sofa bed, and a wall unit with books for guests to read. The kitchen offers a lot of space and includes a breakfast table, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, 4 rings gas hob, electric oven and a microwave. There is also double bedroom and a shower room with WC on this floor.



FIRST FLOOR

On the first floor you will find 1 twin bedroom, 1 double bedroom and a WC with wash basin.



LOWER GROUND FLOOR (POOL LEVEL)

A shower room and the washing machine can be found on the lower ground floor.

Lovely villa in a great location. Great communication from Ralph before our stay and the villa owner met us at the villa for an easy check in. The pool was fantastic and has amazing views. An easy walk into the old town with loads of places to eat and a kids play park close by as well. Great for families.

Beautiful property in a stunning location, pool was great and Frigiliana is stunning. Only issue we had was the lack of air con in the property (and we happened to be there during the heatwave) which made it difficult to sleep at night.

Stunning location!
Wonderful views, well equipped and comfortable with great pool area and terrace with awning. Very friendly owner who made sure we were happy! Good parking but challenging with the slope, a car with plenty of power an advantage.

What a lovely villa - really clean and spacious and 5 mins walk from the centre of town. Views are fantastic and the pool is beautiful . Javier the owner was really friendly and Ralph at Casitas Select made the whole booking experience really easy. We will definitely return!

Fantastic
Mr Lopez (the owner) met us at the property which is surrounded by mountains yet only a minutes walk into Frigiliana. Most restaurants are a little cheaper than down on the coast in Nerja and the food is better. The property is laid out over 3 floors. It is an old property in a prime position. It has a fabulous new shower room downstairs. Mr Lopez brought us clean linen and towels half way through our stay and personally cleaned the pool. The main part of the pool starts at about 4ft 6 and goes down to 7ft. I would definitely recommend this villa. Thank you Mr Lopez we had a fabulous time.

This villa is absolutely stunning and in the perfect location. Ralph was very helpful and answered all our questions and the owner met us to show us around and gave us his number to call if we had any issues but we didn't need to. We had a very enjoyable stay, and our grandsons loved the pool. The house is very central for the village and has lovely views (and walks) both up and down the river valley. Inside the house was a little gloomy but the lovely patio and pool more than made up for that.

A perfect place to unwind. The house is exactly as shown and very clean and tidy throughout. As there was only two of us, we didn't venture upstairs at all! The pool was wonderful and many days were spent dipping in and out, and relaxing on the very large terrace. Frigiliana is a beautiful village with plenty of lovely restaurants, with special mention for The Garden Restaurant and Restaurant Bar Virtudes. Watch out for those steep streets and steps!

What a lovely place in a great location in a lovely village. Very helpful owners too. I would only make 1 comment and that is that they say you have to use plastic cups by the pool (understandably) but they only provide 2. So more plastic cups needed.

The villa is located in a great spot, just off the main square of Frigilliana down a steep side road by the Restaurant Bar virtudes. My husband and son embarked on a few hikes up in the mountains, a great location if you're into walking. The villa was very clean on arrival, with great indoor and outdoor space. There was a terrace through double doors off the living room, which looked down on to the pool. The weather was beautiful and this area was a real suntrap. We had the sun from early morning and lost it around 4.30pm. The queen bedroom was also located off the living room, with a small balcony which showed off the stunning valley down to the river. There were a few basics there when we arrived, but we visited the little mini market up the street which was very well stocked and reasonably priced. The nearest Mercadona is a 10 min drive down the road to Nerja, taxi fare around EUR12. The garden also contained lovely orange trees which the children enjoyed picking and squeezing. We d

The Villa is fantastic. The owners are very accommodating (met us early as we needed to pick up our remaining party from Malaga airport). Communication was good. Prime location for access to the village set down a steep side street and has it's own parking for three cars (at a premium in Frigiliana nowadays). Very spacious and clean with a lovely swimming pool and sun terrace with clear views down the stunning river gorge. Large separate kitchen, dining room and lounge area. We had a wonderful week here.

Excellent 3 bed villa with terrace and good pool with shallow section for youngsters. Overlooks river gorge so feels like you are in the country but are only 75 metres from the village. In shade in the evening which is good in the hottest weather. Frigiliana is a perfect village with lots of restaurants but is quiet and not over-full of tourist shops etc. Basic shops only in village. Otherwise it is a 10 minute drive to Nerja resort for sea. 1 hour drive to Alhambra. 50 minutes to Malaga Airport.

The owner was the perfect host. Showed us around her lovely property which was in very clean condition. It had everything we expected and more kitchen was very well equipped with everything you could need, lots of glassware, crockery, cutlery, pans, etc. We had a problem getting the gas rings to work in first day and the owner came immediate to fix the problem. It just was properly attached. Frigiliana is a beautiful village and just a few miles from busier Nerja. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would recommend this property.

Nos gustó mucho la ubicación y la zona exterior de la casa. Tiene preciosas vistas y una piscina muy hermosa. Esta en el pueblo, que es muy cómodo. Frigiliana es un pueblo muy bonito, con buenos restaurantes y muy cerca del mar y Málaga, El interior de la casa nos gustó menos. Estaba limpio, pero muy básico y un poco anticuado. La segunda ducha es demasiada pequeña para un adulto. Sin embargo nuestras vacaciones en Frigliana eran maravillosas.
