"Wow! Whalesback Cottage was the Nova Scotia oceanside escape that we were looking for. Our own private space – no traffic … no crowds … and the only sounds were the waves hitting the rocks. "The location was good and the kitchen was well stocked in as far as dishes, cutlery, towels,laundry detergent etc The place needs a good cleaning! The chair in the living room needs to be cleaned as it had a bad odor. The downstairs bathroom especially. Lots of missing light bulbs making the place dark. "Our group of four just stayed for a week in August and had an incredible time at this property! We found everything to be true to the listing if not better, and the stunning views from multiple directions made our stay even more memorable. We were able to explore a great deal of the surrounding areas thanks to the central location, with short hops to nearby Lunenburg, Mahone Bay, Peggy's Cove, Chester, and of course Halifax and other great destinations. "The property was fantastic, well equipped and super cozy. We really appreciated the scent-free clean linens and space. The view is amazing and there is nothing like enjoying an ocean-side soak in a swim spa. Mishoo's was a great place to grab dinner and beverage to-go(3 minutes away). The place was a great destination spot - away from the city but close enough to be convenient."

"Great house. Some of the furniture needs changing like the dining room chairs that are very wobbly.3 bedrooms in basement are only doubles so like my son and his wife that are bigger people they had to sleep separately. All in all there was a great view and it was worth the prixe."
