We have stayed at the hotel 3 or 4 times before and have already booked for next June/ July 2025. Only minor thing was the shower pressure seemed lower than before.

Amazing breakfast and view, problem there is no bar. You have to go into restuarant and carry your drink yourself to a lounge that is full of families and children playing games. Need to let part of the restuarant be for cocktails before dinner service.

We had a wonderful three night stay in May. We had a seaview room on the fourth floor (it was accessible so larger than average). It was excellent and well worth the extra money for such a beautiful view. I had read the reviews and knew what to expect about the hotel. I was pleasantly surprised. It's listed as 3 stars on the booking sites, but I think the hotel class is actually 4 stars. It doesn't have many amenities which I think is why it comes out as 3 but I've stayed in 4 star hotels which aren't as nice. Breakfast is as I would have expected. Nice enough and a reasonable selection. You cook your own eggs which I liked, as I'm quite fussy about how I have them. I found that on the Thursday and Friday the room was quiet, but on the Saturday night, there were two weddings in the hotel and you could hear the music until gone 1 am. However, I was well prepared with earplugs, and I never needed them because the noise wasn't enough to disturb me. I loved the 12pm check out and tolerated the 4pm check-in. I think the hotel would accommodate an early check-in if you weren't waiting for a very specific room so I do understand why we had to wait. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Food and drinks are expensive. Three alcoholic drinks and one mocktail came to €42 which isn't unusual for the area but you can definitely eat and drink for cheaper. We didn't eat in the restaurant so can't comment on the food beyond breakfast. We had a lovely stay and I was sad to leave.

Prima hotel en de service die we van van der Valk konden verwachten. Één minpuntje: normaal gesproken krijg je in Frankrijk een gratis karaf water bij de maaltijd. Wij moesten, helaas, 5 Euro afrekenen voor een halve liter mineraal water........

Personeel achter de balie en de schoonmaak is fantastisch. Maar in het restaurant valt het soms wat tegen. Locatie is heel mooi gelegen tegenover een stuk of 10 kleine restaurantjes, erg leuk.

Sicuramente il rumore e' ciò che ha predominato la vacanza : stanze con muri di cartone e non ci sono oscuranti alle finestre. Posizione ok vicino al mare anche se c'è una spiaggia limitatissima e con un ponte fatiscente. Stanze rumorosissime e personale delle pulizie che sposta i mobili al mattino: struttura vecchia con ascensore rovinato e piccolo, bagni scomodi e senza porta: solo una scorrevole in vetro che non si chiude!! . Non sembra un 4 stelle!

Van der Valk una garanzia
Ho soggiornato 3 notti in una camera deluxe al primo piano vista mare, nel balcone un tavolino e due sedie che abbiamo molto apprezzato. La stanza è molto piccola ma con l'essenziale e le caratteristiche di un Van del valk anche se più scadente rispetto a quelli olandesi o tedeschi dove ho soggiornato per tanti anni. È a 2 passi dal mare, il mare però non è per niente cristallino. Dovete spostarvi minimo di un km per vedere acqua appena decente. Se siete in auto spostatevi verso Saint Raphael. Mare e posti bellissimi ma ci vuole un'ora. Colazione buona. Parcheggio gratuito. A questo hotel manca una piscina con idromassaggio da usare nei gg di pioggia. Assolutamente fate qualcosa per migliorarvi in questo. Fuori dall'hotel ci sono diversi ristoranti ma se volete qualcosa di francese dovete andare fino al centro di Saint Aygulf. Ottima posizione per visitare la costa azzurra. Sicuramente tornerò in un Van der valk.. Una garanzia.
