We were very pleased with the little extras that the owners have available like tea & coffee. 40 mins from Alton Towers was very handy with a Tesco enroute so we could get any bits we needed. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again in the future when in the area. "

"A beautiful cottage in a gorgeous location. Very well equipped and lots of extras provided. The bed is super comfortable and big ! Top quality amenities. We had a lovely stay."

"We loved our stay in Wirksworth. Such a lovely area for walking and cycling which we were after. The cottage was lovely. Very comfy beds, great sofa and fab log burner. Kitchen has everything you need. The shower is definitely small as the listing says. However i dont thjnk i realised how small - we managed (just) but this is the only negative in an other wise lovely stay. The village is also great, again with everything you need in terms of variety of places to eat and drink."

"My partner, dog and I enjoyed a lovely 3-night stay at the barn. It's comfortable and has everything you need for a lovely stay. The location is perfect – with plenty of scope for walking and pop visits. Only reason for the 4-star cleaning rating is an unclean grill with bacon smell on arrival (I'm not a fan of meat) – but definitely not a biggie and we'd highly recommend the barn."

"Jacks cottage was amazing, it had absolutely everything you could need and the host has thought of every detail. The photos don’t do it justice! The cottage was easy to find, really clean and tidy and there’s not a single thing I thought was missing or could be better. The place itself is very cosy and has a lovely cottage/homely feel to it. Amazing hot tub which was hot on our arrival so that was perfect after a days walking! I’d definitely recommend staying here even if you want to explore...

"Amazing well equipped spacious chapel. I actually got lost in it when I first entered. We were 6 couples enjoying a birthday celebration and it exceeded all our expectations. Beautiful furnishings with attention to detail. Fully equipped kitchen with a spare kitchen if needed (which you don’t) Heating system worked very well, considering the size of the property too. James was very prompt with a query. A pub and walks on your doorstep everything you could possibly need. Can’t wait to revisit. "

"The pictures were nice but reality was even better! Tastefully decorated, thoughtfully presented. Kitchen and lounge were perfect spaces for a family gathering. Enjoyed every minute. The host’s restaurant recommendations were also spot on. We had a lovely lunch and afternoon at Wildhive. "

"A lovely log cabin with hot tub. Cabins are not overlooked and were quiet. Lots of places to visit nearby with kid's, including Alton Towers. Nearby Cheadle has everythingg you might need."

"A beautiful heritage estate of large proportions and character. The history was fascinating. Staff were friendly and helpful. Facilities were superb. A beautiful country setting with beautiful views of the river and farmland. Well equipped rooms, with all appliances you could ever need. Rooms were cosy and warm. We loved using the pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. Highly recommend and I would love to stay here again, given the opportunity."
