Porch Light Hospitality presents, The Cottage- a completely renovated 1930’s German guesthouse with midcentury-modern style and amenities, located on a family-owned homestead in Fredericksburg, Tx.

One of six unique guesthouses that make up “The Gathering,” The Cottage is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood and less than 5 minutes to Main Street. With a standing tub next to a double-sided fireplace, a private courtyard with a hot tub and outdoor tv - you're sure to find rest at The Cottage.

The Space:
Bedroom: King sized bed with high-end linens, double-sided gas fireplace, oversized soaker tub, TV with Roku

Bathroom: Walk-in shower, bathroom amenities (soap, shampoo, conditioner, towels, robes, hair dryer, iron/board)

Kitchenette: Mini-fridge, microwave, coffee-maker with complimentary local grounds, dishware and dining nook

Living Area: Velvet sofa, original vaulted tin ceilings, TV with Roku

Outdoor Area: Private courtyard with hot tub and outdoor shower, fire pit, lounge seating and bistro table, TV with Roku

* This guesthouse is completely private, no amenities are shared with other property guests.

The property was beautiful and quiet, yet close to down town area. Perfect spot for a couple getaway. There was an issue when we checked in with the hot tub, but we contacted support. Anniversary get away
Nice, peaceful setting away from the downtown area which we loved. Enjoyed the private area with the hot tub and patio. Bed was super comfortable with lovely linens. Would suggest adding a few chairs to the back of the property to sit and enjoy the wooded area, just beautiful!

We loved our stay here here. We had everything we needed, and it was just beautiful! We only had one night here (I wish it was two!) so we made sure to enjoy everything! The hot tub in our private courtyard was fun, and we made a little fire too, and enjoyed our show streaming while in the hot tub. The courtyard was also a secure place to park our ebikes, which was a great bonus. The shower was immaculate and the standing tub with the fireplace was just beautiful! That tub is huge too! I slept like a baby in that bed, extremely comfortable. They whole place was so immaculately clean, it seemed brand new.

Such a cute, tucked away quiet place to stay. We booked for our 20 year anniversary and enjoyed every minute of it. We only had one issue with the lights coming on outside but that didn't stop us from enjoying the time out there before it got too dark.

Was nestled among a few other rental spots. Bit close, but other than that everything was amazing. Nice little spot, jacuzzi, TV out side! Fireplace, all of it added up to a nice little stay for us as we passed through the town. Was very close to down town as well.

Our favorite HomeAway ever
This is not only our favorite place in Fredericksburg, but it is the best HomeAway rental we've ever stayed in. We've stayed twice now, and this time spent most of our time in the cottage, just hanging out with each other and enjoying the amenities! The staff is helpful and responsive. Can't recommend it enough! We can't wait to go back next Christmas.
