This cozy cottage is the perfect retreat for travelers! Amenities of the cottage include a full kitchen with a Keurig coffee machine and wine bar, a full bath with walk-in shower, king beds, smart TV, and a private patio with ample outdoor seating, plus an arbor swing! Located in the heart of Fredericksburg, the peace and quiet afforded to guests at this property are unmatched. Spend the day on the town, then return to the chalet in the evening and enjoy the full kitchen and wine bar, perfect for a glass (or two!) in the spacious backyard. Quiet, charming, and convenient, all the necessities for a romantic getaway.

PLEASE NOTE: The owner lives onsite. There are no shared spaces.

Due to the Hill Country location of our rentals, you may encounter wildlife (Snakes, Deer, Raccoons, Squirrels, Possum, Birds (including Hawks), ETC). Please be aware of your surroundings, take caution while driving at night, and supervise your children at all times while they are outdoors. In addition, all properties do utilize pest control services on a regular basis BUT this does not guarantee pests or bugs will not be visible. This includes but is not limited to: ants, snakes, spiders, scorpions, beetles/roaches/water-bugs, mice, or flies.

- Quiet Time is from 10:00 pm to 7:00 am, per City Ordinance
- If we are called due to complaints violating Quiet Time:
1st Offense will result in a $250 fine.
2nd Offense will result in a $500 fine.
If police are called, you are responsible for any fines or fees issued with the citation or warning. If police are called there will be a $500 fine, even if no citation is issued.

Cozy cottage made our stay enjoyable!
Cottage was perfect for our Mother-Daughter trip! Cottage is behind manager's house inside a fence in a great neighborhood so we felt totally safe. There were benches and swings outside so we could enjoy the weather and the cottage was stocked with everything we would need if we forgot anything. Very clean! We will definitely stay here again! The property is beautiful, well kept, and very secure. The neighborhood is very nice. It’s located about a mile from downtown ~ perfect. The Chalet is so cute, cozy and very definitely designed by an artist !! I wish I could move into it!! The host is a wonderful happy lady. She was very welcoming and answered any questions we had.

A piece of Heaven!
We had a wonderful stay. The pictures were perfect match to the property. Outside was beautiful,quiet and peaceful. It was very close to the main street and all the shops. Mrs. Dempsey the owner was a wonderful women. She lived on the property with her sweet dog Kiki. Would recommend everyone to come visit. We will surely be back.

My wife and I throughly enjoyed our stay at the Artist Chalet. It was extremely clean, neat with exquisite decor. It was also well stocked with drinks and snacks. Very nice sitting area in the front, which we enjoyed, since we had perfect weather. We would definitely stay at this location again and highly recommend if you want a quaint getaway.

Artist Chalet is such a cozy comfortable beauty! My husband was singing praises for the shower head/water pressure (he is a plumber, wink wink). From the snacks to the bottled water, snugly throws, comfortable bed and pillows, we felt so at home. Also, the home decorations make it feel like you're at home, but on vacation too. The neighborhood is quiet yet not too far from being in the middle of the action. I would definitely want to stay at Artist Chalet again when I visit Fredericksburg.

Relaxing Stay
We came to Texas from Georgia for the Texas/Georgia football game. We didn't want to stay in the hustle and bustle of the big city so this location was perfect for us. The chalet was bigger than I thought it would be and was very comfortable. The shower was a tad small but still more than adequate for a person to bathe. I liked being out of the downtown area of Fredericksburg but still close enough to all of the shops and restaurants. The chalet was immaculate, and I would love to come back one day.
