Walk to downtown Frederick and all of the shopping and activities that downtown Frederick has to offer, yet sleep in a quiet neighborhood. The hosts live on-site in the downstairs apartment. GETTING THERE
-Frederick is about 45 minutes from Washington, D.C, one hour from Baltimore, M.D., and 45 minutes from the Dulles Airport.
-The home is located just off of Route 15 and Rosemont Ave, near Baker Park.
PARKING
-Plenty of street parking is available.
-(Street sweeping happens on Mondays 12a-7a and Thursdays 12a-7a. Park on the opposite side of the street the evening before street sweeping.)
ENTRY
-Your unique code will be provided 24 hours before you arrive for your stay. The code changes after every guest. The apartment is accessed via a flight of stairs.

AMENITIES
- We provide basic amenities such as shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, toilet paper, paper towels, trash can liners, laundry and dish detergent, towels, coffee, tea, creamer, sugar, cooking oil, and a variety of spices. Other amenities for your comfort include makeup removal towels, blow dryers, feminine products and a first aid kit. These amenities are a great foundation! If you’d like extra items or have personal preferences, you are welcome to bring those.
THE LOCATION
The home is within walking distance of downtown Frederick and a 1 minute drive to the nearest highway (Route 15). The neighborhood is peaceful and full of families.
HEATING AND COOLING
A ductless mini split heating and cooling system keeps the temperature perfect year-round. Each unit’s temperature can be adjusted using the remotes that are mounted to the wall, but all units must be on the same setting, that is all must be on heat or all must be on cooling.
INTERNET
Fast internet can accommodate multiple streaming devices, browsing the Internet, virtual meetings, and gaming.
OUTDOOR SPACE
A secluded and private backyard features a gas fire pit surrounded by four chairs, patio dining set and a gas grill. String lights add an ethereal touch.
THINGS TO DO
Visit Downtown Frederick’s antique shops, breweries, and restaurants which are all within walking distance. Or, you can go to nearby hiking trails or to a winery. A curated guidebook will offer you multiple options for things to do during your stay.
SECURITY
To ensure the property’s security, there are exterior motion sensor lights as well as an exterior doorbell camera.
HOUSE RULES
Please read these rules in their entirety before booking to make sure this is the right place for you.
No parties or events. A Ring doorbell security camera on-site (records the exterior only) can alert us to extra guests and party supplies coming into the home. Guests in violation risk immediate cancellation plus a claim on the deposit to cover extra cleaning and any damage. We also have a noise monitor that does not record. Consistently high noise levels will be flagged and you will be asked to turn down the volume. Both of these policies help us keep the neighborhood peaceful and enjoyable for your stay.
This historic home has very old plumbing pipes. Please only flush toilet paper to be kind to our plumbing system. As above, any need for us to call a plumber to fix a damaged or clogged pipe may result in a claim on your deposit.
No smoking
Not suitable for young children 2 and under as this home is located up a tall flight of stairs and there is a flight of stairs inside the home. We do not have baby gates.
Check-in is 4PM onwards. Check out by 10AM. Our cleaners need the extra time to perform a thorough cleaning in between guests. Thank you for understanding.
Self check-in with keypad. The code is the last four digits of the primary guest’s phone number. (The primary guest is the person who made the reservation)
This is a no shoes house, so please bring your comfy slippers! All shoes must be taken off at entry. There is a shoe and coat storage unit in the mudroom entry. We charge a $10 fee per rug stain left in the home to compensate our cleaners for the extra work. Please understand this takes a lot of extra time and cost to clean and we pay our cleaners a living wage.
**Important** Please make sure you read and comply with these rules:
No smoking in the home
No extra guests
No mailing packages to the home.
No parties of any kind inside or on the property. Please respect the community. Noise level must be minimal after 10PM. We do not want complaints about noise. Violation of the noise/party rule could result in the police being called, and will result in termination of your reservation, and the security deposit being retained. We must respect the peace of the community. Thank you.
Penalties for the following that will be held against security deposit via a damage claim:
** Stolen towels: $10 per towel
** Other stolen items: Cost plus 50% for replacement (e.g., $15 plug adapter will result in a $22 replacement fee)
** Smoking in the home: $150
**Late Checkout Past 10am. $75
**Additional guests than those on the reservation. $50 per guest.
**Excessive cleaning if the home requires extra cleaning. $150
